Quick Parade Question

I have a question about the parade routes. Do the parades at Disney World (mainly MSEP) always travel in the same direction? If so, do they originate on Main Street or in Frontierland? I know that at Disneyland the morning and afternoon routes are reversed, but I think I read somewhere that the parades at WDW always start from the same place.

Lighted night parade (MSEP, at this time) runs front-to-back.

Afternoon MK parade can run PRIMARILY front-to-back, but under certain
conditions (rain can be a factor) it will run back-to-front.

PARTY parades run back-to-front.

I have never watched the parade from Frontier land. Only Main street. Is this a good are to watch MSEP and the MNSSHP parade?

I always watch MSEP from frontierland. Its not as busy as Main Street and I just prefer the atmosphere back there. the only problem is if you're going to leave the park right after you're stuck behind everyone else.

We plan to watch the second parade so hopefully not too crowded.

Have always watched MNSSHP parades in Frontierland. It's a little easier to get good seating, without having to plant yourself hours in advance. I usually then walk over to the castle hub to watch the fireworks. For the Christmas party I waited for the second parade and sat on Main Street, just because that seemed the most atmospheric.
