Quick! Not much time! When should I go?!

My best friend and I are going to Disneyland very soon. We want to go before the summer crowds and heat. We'll be driving since we live about 45 minutes north of Disneyland.

When should we go?
It has to be after March 27th (payday!) and it has to be a Friday.
Anaheim school districts have spring break the week after Easter. Fullerton and us have spring break April 7th-11th.

So I was thinking April 4th, since there seems to be a gap in vacation times.

Is this a good idea? It's Friday so the traffic would be worse than a Saturday but the crowds not as bad.

Any ideas?

First off...Yay!! for a disney trip!

Unfortunately, a break in Anaheim and Fullerton districts doesn't mean some other school districts aren't off. Therefore, you may still be running into big crowds.

Also, with the weather getting nicer, you'll be seeing plenty of locals out and about enjoying the park in the evenings and especially weekends.

The DLR calendar is pretty good about anticipating crowds, and they've slated now until April 27 with late hours on weekdays!

Whatever days you decide, I think some good planning, early morning starts , and frequent breaks will make your trip magical!

Don't want to wait until May, it gets REALLY hot. Plus, I have a summer job + school and she works

I live in Santa Clarita.
Actually now that I map it, we're more 1 hour away (according to Yahoo Maps). But we never hit traffic and drive at least 70mph

I've been in May and never found it to be HOT. Even in early June it's no where near as hot as it is in July and August.

If they have late hours going in April they must be expecting crowds, and it seems Spring Break is now all of March and April these days (from the various areas and states). I've learned just having a break going in Utah can draw HUGE crowds! So I'd expect crowds if you go any time in April!

That's awesome. You're closer than I am. I live in Ventura County. My coworker lives in Santa Clarita.

When we drive super fast home we take a little more than an hour.

You are right, I have gone in early June already for a couple years and the weather is quite nice.

So I think we might postpone until first week of June. Yes more crowds cause of summer but my cousin is coming down from San Jose and that way all three of us can hang out.

I think that will be best for you! You get those "June Gloom" days, where it's just nice but not super hot. I'm not a fan of the heat either, so I know what you mean! The crowds aren't too bad those first two weeks of June, since a lot of schools are still in too.

I've learned just having a break going in Utah can draw HUGE crowds! So I'd expect crowds if you go any time in April!

Spring break in UT starts tomorrow through next Tues.
