I have one more table service meal to plan for, and I can't decide between these restaurants. Which one do you pick for my family of 5, which includes, Me, DW, DS14, DD9 and DS1.

Thanks in Advance

Where do you plan on being that day? That could help make your decision easier. They are all great places!

Boma will give you food choices from mac and cheese and spaghetti, pasta and meatballs and the ole' standby chicken nuggets to foods that you will not encounter in any other Disney restuarant - like coconut tiramisu, zebra domes, DELICIOUS soups, salads, humus, meats roasted on a spit, etc, etc. - not to mention the ambiance of the restuarant and the experience of the hotel. At a specific time each night, the hotel has someone dressed in the authentic African garb telling stories around a fire pit - the children might enjoy this before or after diner, (you may want to call the hotel itself and find out what time this happens so that you could plan your dinner around it) also you are free to view the animals from around the pool area, or from the decks off of the lobby. Boma give you an "experience" not just a diner.

By the way, Boma is our family's favorite restuarant in and out of WDW.

LeCellier - although it has great reviews here on the boards, - was not anything above ordinary and even disappointing - to my family at least.

Ohana is nice if you really like meat - the menu is a little heavy on the meat and light on the starch and veggies. But they do have diner activities for the kids, and if you plan dinner right, you could watch fireworks over MK after dinner on the Poly beach. Also its a set menu, so if your kids are picky its not the best choice.

Mama Melrose - Good enough resturant but don't feel you have to do Fantasmic package. You get really good seats about 1 hour ahead anyhow. The Fantasmic seats are off to the side if I remember correctly. And as the restuarant goes - Its nice, but you can have Italian food anwhere.

What ever you choose, enjoy!! Have a great vacation.

P.S. - You might want to keep your eye on the new restuarant which will be opening in AK Park - Yak and Yetti. As far as I know there are to open in the fall - but I don't know anything about their menu. I would make my PS's now and keep my eye out for reviews you could always change later.

That's the thing, I have my days set, but I can easily adjust based on this choice of a restaurant. I've left my plans slightly open to leave room for this decision. My family loves restaurants (especially at WDW), and would have no problem leaving a park to go to the best restaurants.

Thanks

I personally cannot stand Boma. I know many people rave but it just is not my cup of tea. The children's food there has been a bit cold both times I have gone and that is a bit of a turn off. The flourless cake is great and the rest of the desserts were very ho hum to me.

'Ohana is a great choice for a family. They have activities for the kids and it seems to be a great one for all who might be picky (young ones)

Le Cellier to me is nothing to shout about. I wasn't unhappy there, but again it was ho hum to us. The steaks weren't that amazing and the sides we had were just okay to us. My DH who is a steak person asked if we could go there last time... I told him we already went... reminded him and he went "oh yeah" and decided a new place was better to try

I have only been to Mama Melrose for lunch myself and we liked it a lot. I am not a huge fan on Fantasmic which is why I didn't vote for it.

My vote was for Le Cellier. I have read so many good reviews about it, and it seems as all the trip reports that I've read lately have had something good to say about it as well. We have an ADR there for ourselves as well!
Good luck deciding!:thumbsup2

What are the other places you plan to book? :upsidedow

I would book Le Cellier mostly because it is the hardest reservation to get! Plus the food is awesome, absolutely delicious and a great use of TS credits.
