Quick Meal at Grand Floridian/Poly

I am arriving at the Contemporary on Sunday night at about 7. I wanted to go see the Grand Floridian or the Polynesian, since I have never been to either one. I will be by myself, is there a place I can go to get a quick meal at either resort? Which do you think would be the best choice?

I would recommend either the Kona Cafe at the Poly OR the GF Cafe. My favorite would have to be the GF Cafe, simply because I love the atmosphere and the food is really yummy! It's a very charming, out-of-the-way restaurant with great service.

Kona is a great place to eat as well, but it may be a little busier and noisier than the GF Cafe because it's located right next to the monorail exit/entrance for the Polynesian resort. However, if you're a coffee drinker, this is the place to go. I am not a fan of coffee, but my husband & sister in law said that Kona has the best coffee anywhere.

No matter which one you choose, you'll have a great time!

Just an FYI . . .The grand Floridian is a good place for a quick meal but it is not opened for dinner, only breakfast and lunch!

I would recommend Kona, too. GF Cafe stopped offering dinner about a year and a half ago as I recall.

Both resorts have snack shops, too, if that's what you meant by quick. But I'd spend the extra few minutes and order at Kona.

I would go with Kona also, you get a nice view of the tropical lobby.

There is also Captain Hooks, which is fast food style eating, but if you have the time go for Kona. Afterwards take some time to walk around the Longhouse and by the Volcano pool. Beautiful area.

We used to stay at the Contemporary, but the Polynesian has won us over for now.

I just do not think you can call Kona a "quick" meal. Can you get appetiziers at tha bar at O'hana?
