Quick *Magic Band* question

Forgive me if this has been asked a zillion times before, I can't find it in the search feature...

We just booked our WDW package and were told by the CM to go online to MDE where we could choose our MB's and start making some dining ressies, etc.

When I logged in, they had already assigned us MB's which said they were "active" (we have never used MB's before). They were pink and grey... I did everything possible to try and change the color of the bands, but it said they were already active and couldn't be changed.

Do they just pick the colors for you? We were hoping to pick our own colors.

DH is ok with the grey, but I don't want pink.

How long before your trip did you make your reservations?
 
Made reservations yesterday... we arrive at WDW Sept. 11.

CM told us to go choose and customize our bands. When I linked our reservation number at MDE the bands were already there, showing as "active" and they were pink and gray with no opportunity for us to choose our own colors :confused3 I've tried everything to changed them (and then some) but I'm starting to think I'm going to have to call back and find out what the issue is.
 
Yeah, if you call they will fix them for you. Your trip is months away, so I don't see any reason they won't help. Especially since you haven't physically received them yet. I wouldn't worry. If you speak to someone who says they can't help, just hang up and call back. Unfortunately, there are a few "unmagical" CMs on the phones, but the majority are willing to help no matter what. (You can usually tell as soon as their greeting ;) )
 

You should have up to sometime around August 10th to change the colors. We leave on June 3, I had up till May 2 to change the colors on the bands. I received them yesterday.

If your having issues with changing the colors then I would call Disney and explain what the issue is. Someone should be able to talk you though the process and find out what is happening.

I made the call and was lucky enough to get the most *magical* CM ever :wizard:

She looked up my reservation on MDE and said there was definitey a glitch (even she couldn't change the colors at first, she finally had to delete the bands altogether). She had no idea why the colors were chosen and they were already in the system as "active".

She did tell me that they won't be sent to me as I am in Canada... they will be shipped to my resort. Kind of bummed I won't get the excitement of having them arrive at my door, but in a way, happy I don't have to cart them down with me, so it's all good.

CM was so sweet and got it all sorted so we could choose and customize the bands and even wished us a very happy anniversary trip.

After all that, I asked my DH what color he would like and he said "grey" (same color they had already given us in the glitch) Aaaaaaahhhhh! :rolleyes2

But I got my orange, so I'm happy :)
