Quick Jersey Week/Super Soap weekend questions

Hi, everyone! We're making final plans for our trip over Jersey Week and wondered if you experts out there could help with a few scheduling questions. We were thinking of taking advantage of several extra-magic-hour nights during our trip (MK on 11/9 and Epcot on 11/10). We also want to see Fantasmic (and do the Fantasmic dinner package). Our questions are as follows:

1. Do you all think it would be wise to do the extra magic hours those nights (i.e. will it be super crowded at the parks those nights since it's Jersey Week or a good time to beat the daytime crowds)??

2. Do you think it would be a bad idea to book the Fantasmic package for Sat., 11/12, despite the fact that it's Super Soap weekend at MGM? If we do go that night, which show should we try to attend, the 6:30 or 8 pm?? The park's open 'til 8, so we were sort of leaning towards the 8-pm show... We're thinking of booking H&V -- any opinions on that?? (I've posted this question on the restaurants board and received only a few responses so far)....

3. If we don't do Fantasmic on Sat., 11/12, we'd probably do Epcot, but I'm guessing that would also be mobbed because it's the last F&W Festival weekend... Any feedback on that scenario??

Thanks, in advance, for your help... Can't wait to return to the World! Hope we get some good weather this year!

Take care,
Sarah

JUst my personal opinion.....
MGM is a NIGHTMARE during SuperSoap Weekends.
DH and I were at WDW during Jersey Week/SuperSoap Weekends in 2003. We went back to MGM on Saturday (our last day) to do a few rides we didn't get to do and it was such a zoo that we just turned around and left. We didn't find the rest of the week to be too bad. I hope this helps a little bit.

Bumping this up for you -

we will be at DW during Jersey week too, so I'm curious to hear the responses. We were there last year during JW too and the only really crowded place was MGM during the soaps weekend.

We're planning on doing the evening EMH's on 11/9 at MK and 11/10 at Epcot so I hope they are not too crowded either.

I was planning on doing the evening EMH at MGM on Sunday, Nov.6, so I'm hoping it won't be crowded there then.

Have you tried to book your ADR's yet? They have been hard to get with the Food Plan this year!

Just tried to get the Fantasmic package and it was sold out for the 2 nights we were considering... There also weren't any ressies available for either night at H&V... Hmmmmm, now wondering what our strategy should be re seeing Fantasmic. Here are the options:

1. See Fantasmic on Thurs., 11/10, at 7 pm
2. See Fantasmic on Sat., 11/12, at 8 pm (there's also a 6:30 showing)
3. Don't see the show at all!!

We're scheduled to attend the Poly luau on Wed. night and to have dinner at Cali Grill on Fri. night, so Fantasmic isn't an option either of those nights... Since Epcots' open late on Thurs., I was kind of hoping to be there for the evening (sampling the food of the F&W Festival, etc.)...

If anyone else has any ideas/thoughts/suggestions, please let me know!

Thanks again,
Sarah
