quick help: is anything going on this weekend?

DH just announced an hour ago that we can go to WDW Sat. through Tues. if we can get rooms. We're DVC members and go at least once a year...just went over New Years. So what I'm looking for is anything that's going on this weekend that we wouldn't be able to do on our next trip. We try to do the "special" stuff...MNSSHP, MVMCP, and so on. I know there's St. Pat's at Pleasure Island, but our kids are too young. Flower and Garden hasn't started yet. Anything? Expedition Everest is at the top of the list already. Thanks! I'm sooo excited.

I can't find anything "special" either - if anyone is a walker/runner they could do this 5K!

Sunday, March 19, beginning at 7 a.m., the National Kidney Foundation of Florida Gift of Life 5K Run/Walk will wind its way through Disney-MGM Studios, around Echo Lake and the Sorcerer Mickey Hat, past the Tower of Terror, and concluding in the parking lot. To register the morning of the race, go to the "Television" area of the Studios parking lot from 5:45-6:45 a.m. (entry fee $25 payable only by check or cash). Oh, also if you have any baseball fans, there's a spring training game on Saturday -the Atlanta Braves vs the Cincinnati Reds- game at 1:05 at Wide World of Sports, or if you have a golf-lover you can always go over to the Bay Hill Invitational and watch Tiger Woods! (Or should that be Tigger Woods while he's in Orlando?!!)

Thanks for replying! No sports fans in our group though. It's just as well. We only have 3 full days and I'm sure it's going to be crowded. It'll probably take all our time just trying to hit our favorites.

My son will be singing with his school choir at 4PM Saturday at the theatre next to Buzz Lightyear in the MK. Check them out if you're in the area.

Off Kilter is playing at the West Side Stage at Downtown Disney March 16-18th. Go to Steve Soares Disney entertainment website to see show times. You can take kids to this show. The walkways thru Pleasure Island are open now and it's very kid friendly. We leave in a few hours (Yippee!) an I'm hoping my family is up to catching a show Sat p.m. - and making checking out Raglan Road and it's entertainment!

Thanks for the heads up on the event at MGM. I wonder how that will affect park attendance?

Sheila, I'll try to catch your son's performance if we end up at MK Saturday. I think we're doing AK though so DH can get to be early. Good luck to him!
