Quick Half Board meal plan Q

Hi everyone

I've not been on these boards for aaaaages, as our last trip was September 2013. However I've just booked a trip for September this year, squeeee, so am in full planning mode.

I have a quick question regarding the half board meal plan, which was included. We definitely had this offer last time, and we definitely ate at Table Service restaurants with them (Walt's, Blue Lagoon etc). I'm pretty sure they were valid in that restaurant, and I thought that the level of voucher you got (Standard, Plus etc) was linked to the hotel you stayed in, and we stayed in the HNY.

This time it seems like that is no longer the case, and by the fact our confirmation simply says 'Half Board', and not 'Half Board Plus', I'm guessing they're standard vouchers (we're staying in Newport Bay this time). We're definitely going to want table service, does anyone know if I can still use the vouchers face value towards the bill? And if so, how much are they worth at the moment?

if you're booked into the Newport Bay Club, its half board plus vouchers you will have included, the "free" half board deals for the UK include the standard of half board vouchers your hotel attracts, so for you at the Newport Bay CLub, thats half board plus.

Fantastic, thanks so much for your prompt response. I was sure that the level of vouchers was dictated by the hotel you were in. But after failing to find confirmation of that, and it was a long time ago we last went, I wasn't sure that still was the case.
