If you maintain a 95% grade average, what is your GPA? (roughly)
I'm new at this GPA stuff, clueless I tell you.

If your GPA is out of 4 wouldn't it be 3.95

well 95% of 4 is 3.8, so I'm going with that.

i think its a 3.5

A=4
B=3
C=2
D=1
F=0

but its like 100
90
80
70
65

so an average of 95 wouyld be a 3.5

Actually, a 4 is an A+ in everything. It's pretty much scoring 100s on everything you ever do. It's not an exact scale, though.

Plus, Sonya, something I didn't think of before. Different schools take different things into account when calculating GPA. At my school, attendence is a factor. If I missed a year like you (although, I think they'd excuse cancer) it would affect my GPA a lot.

I've got about a 3.7/3.8 right now.

No, attendance isn't a factor. Yes, it's out of 4.
Thanks guys!

I'm guessing a high 3.something like a 3.7 or 3.8

If you have 3 A's and 3 B's you average out to a 3.5 so a 95 average would mean you have at least the largest percentage of your grades as an A. At my school they round it up at the end of each semester so and A and an A- show up the same...So if you have all As regardless of + or - you have a 4.0 GPA unless your in AP classes then it can go up a point for each extra one...

Probably depends on the school. My HS went something like this:

A+ = 4.03 (somehow you could get above a 4 on a 4.0 scale ?)
A = 4.0
A- = 3.7
B+ = 3.3
B = 3.0
B- = 2.7
and so on

So I guess if you had all 95s, those are each an A (at least in my school) so you'd have a 4.0.

I graduated with a 3.496 and at my college, there were 3 levels of merit scholarships. The one I initially qualified for (when I applied, and my GPA from freshman-junior year was like a 3.1) was $6,500. To get that you needed 1000 on SATs (math & critical reading only) and minimum 3.0 GPA. To get the highest scholarship of $12,000, the requirements were 1100 SAT (which I met because i had 1170 Math&CR) and a 3.5 GPA. I was so mad that I missed the cut off by .004!!! :( oh well.

In my school it's

A = 4
B= 3
C = 2
D = 1
E = 0

But for an AP for IB class you get 5 for an A, 4 for a B, 3 for a C, etc.
