Is there a website I can go to where I can check to see if the days I'm going are EE days? We're going on a Mon & Tues in Septemer and staying at the DL Hotel. I'm hoping we'll be able to do EE, or is that just with buying a package vacation?

TIA!

EE is on Mon, Tues, Thurs and Sat.

As a resort guest, you will get EE privileges on both Mon and Tues.

I'm curious.

If i was staying at a DL hotel on Mon & Tue (night).....& EE began at 7am (or 8am)......would I go to the hotel (to check) in at (say) 5am or 6am Monday morning to get the hotel ticket?

& then with the hotel ticket get in line for our Monday DL EE (30 min. before EE gate opens)?

Thanks.

Yes, from my understanding, you can check in early as you want on your arrival day and even though they won't give you a room, you will get a charge slip, and then you can proceed right to EE.

Thanks DangerMouse....I had never thought of that as an option, but maybe i will next time.

Sasha...I know i mentioned it once before, but that pic of DD & Ratatouie (Remy?) is great. & I know you had it taken BEFORE the movie came out, which makes it three times as cool. :cool2:

In answer to your specific question, "No", there is no website where you can check EE offerings. It is really quite absurd that DLR handles EE the way they do. It has been going on for 2 years now in its current form. At WDW they publish EMH many months in advance on their website. All they do on the DLR website is say one EE for a 3+ day hopepr ticket. I have never seen Disney ever say in print anything about the multiple EE days for DLR hotel guests, but it has been an unadvertised perk since July 2005. Even some supposedly "Disney knowledgable" travel agents are ignorant, and have told people on these boards that the multiple EE day hotel perk has ended or will end soon.

Bottom line is that this forum offers more reliable info than Disney with regard to EE.

Another note is that the Mon/Tue/Thur/Sat EE as mentioned by others has been very solid now for over two years. Here are some exceptions when EE does not follow the standard four days:

1. Grad Nights in May and June. Some of these are on Wed night, and from what I underdstand DL does not have EE on the Thursday morning after a Wed night Grad Night. In some or all cases, they shift the Thurs EE to Wed that week.

2. Special Events - there have been two events this year at DL that have meant that DL opened extra early to regular DL guests on Saturday. A travel convention hosted at DL in April and the POTC movie premiere in May. In both cases DL opened at something like 6 or 7AM for everyone, and hence EE was not offered.

Other than that, I have not heard of DL departing from the four day a week EE schedule.

When you check into the DLH, you will receive a sheet of paper titled: Magical Times at the Disneyland Hotel. On the front it has information about the hotel, wake up calls, check out times, phone charges, that sort of thing. On the reverse is other information and that includes info on EE. This is what that specifically says (I saved mine from when we stayed there last month):

Disneyland Early Entry
As Guests of the Disneyland Hotel, you are invited to enjoy early entry into Disneyland on selected days. Early Entry allows you to visit selected attractions in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland 1 hour prior to Disneyland Park opening. To enjoy this offering, present your Disneyland park tickets and your Hotel I.D. card at the Main Entrance turnstiles. Currently, Early Entry is offered on: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Please be advised that the availability of Early Entry and offered attractions is subject to change without notice.

That is the only place I have ever seen Disney print out EE info, is on these little sheets they give you at the hotels. At the Grand Californian, they give you a sheet every night (put it on your pillow when they do turndown). At the DLH you get one that doesn't list any specific date information at check in. Also note, that the Hotel I.D. card they mention is not your room key, but rather a small sheet of paper that you use for EE and charging to your room. It has your name, dates and the number of people in your room so they can make sure you are bringing in the number of people for EE that are on your room slip.

Your phone will have an automatic button to push that will give you a pre recorded message about park hours for the next several days. It doesn't say anything on that message about EE. I usually just called the front desk each night before an EE day to verify that it was still going.

I am with Hydroguy, why they don't put this information on their website is beyond me, it would make it so much easier!

FWIW, when WDW puts EMH on their website, even with the caveats "everything is subject to change", people plan all their ADRs and park days around the schedule. Changing it would be a huge inconvenience to many people.

On the other hand, since DLR does not publish the EE info, or specific EE days, they have more latitude to move or cancel EE days. And they can cancel the DLR hotel perk for multiple EE days at any time with the current policy. So maybe that is why they do it.

I think thats exactly why they don't post it and it makes sense I guess. But its still aggravating, esp. given the high cost of onsite hotels and that being one of the big reasons to stay there. Last June was the first time we even had printed information from an onsite hotel regarding EE. And when you call the hotel directly, and tell them your dates etc., they will tell you what days its offered and that "it more than likely won't change". The disclosure of any information at DL is always more hard to come by at DL vs. WDW. For example, I cannot yet make my DLH reservations for January since 2008 rates haven't been released yet. If I was trying to make a reservation using my points at WDW for MLK weekend, the pickings would be slim more than likely since most people book a WDW trip (points or cash) at the earliest opportunity, 11 months in the case of home resort DVC points, even further out if you are paying cash.

And FWIW, WDW, has gotten way better about not changing information. I remember the days when I was constantly having to change things around for ADRS, Spectro in particular was always being changed around. That's gotten much better now. They may sometimes add a second show but they dont' seem to nuke it off one day altogether like they used to. Probably too many disboarders calling and complaining!;)
