Quick Ebay advice..Please?????

What do you do when someone has WON your auction for a 'time sensitive' item..............Let's say.......a set of tickets for an event that is scheduled for next weekend.......12/19.

Then he responds to your invoice by saying that he "May Not" buy your item as he may be able to find the same item for a better price somewhere else...

The dilemma is that since he won the auction he doesn't have the right to "decline" it.......................and if he declines to purchase, I am stuck with the item because I did not have time to relist........Is there a way to tell this guy to "go scratch" and re list them immediately???

Depends, I would think that you would be stated that payment was due by xxx or else they forfit, correct? If this statement is not on your ebay page I am not sure if you can or not, but if he is not going to buy them anyhow (which is how it sounds) why bother caring wether or not you relist. I would be I don't know what ebay's stance on this is.

It says when you bid that you should not bid unless you intend to buy the item. Being nice I would maybe say, I will give you until 5 PM to purchase the item or I will relist. It is not a game of wait for the better offer. Keep all communication if you do relist.

I would say tell them if they aren't going to pay you are going to leave negative feedback. If you have a second bidder I would then sell to them and leave negative feedback for the deadbeat.

It is against eBay rules & regulations to bid on multiple auctions only to pay for the lowest. Do a "Bidder Search" and find out what other auctions the bidder is bidding in. Email the buyer, listing the other like auctions, telling him that perhaps he is not aware BUT:v it is against eBay rules, that he has ALREADY won your auction and it is binding, and that you will file a complaint with eBay telling them so, listing the other auctions and forwarding his email that he sent you. And that he will receive negative feedback regarding this.

Then, quickly email the second highest bidder offering it to them.Tell them you can list it in a private auction open ONLY to them, with a "Buy it now" price, so both of you are covered by eBay protections & can give each other positive feedback after the exchange.

Just be ready to receive negative feedback from the first buyer. He sounds like a real jerk & will neg you no matter what actions you are likely to take, unless he pays for your tickets after all. When he negs you, simply respond, "Warning! Bids & wins multiple, like auctions & pays for lowest," to warn other Sellers & explain to other buyers why you now have a neg.

It sounds like they are trying to get you to take a lower price, figuring you are stuck and won't have much choice.

I'd relist, file for my fees and leave negative feedback. I'd also forward his email to ebay.
