Quick disney bathroom question

My husband, 3 month old son, and I just took our first "family vacation," just a quick 5 day road trip, and we were surprised to find that only about half of all of the rest stops, restaurants, and fast food joints we stopped at had changing stations in the men's rooms. Is this the norm??

We're planning on doing an abbreviated version of our annual March Disney trip next year when our son is 1, and this got me thinking...do the Disney bathrooms
have changing tables in both the men's room as well as the ladies? Just curious.

I can't speak to disney world. But, in general, according to my dh men's restrooms do not have changing tables. Annoying and wrong, IMO. FWIW, I usually changed my kids in the car anyway if at all possible.

Yes, there are changing tables in the mens' room as well, and my husband said he was usually the only one changing a diaper in the restroom. Due to this he changed 95% of the diapers while we were at WDW since there was often a wait for the changing tables in the ladies' room. Now that was a great vacation!! Have fun:)

Plus there are family bathrooms with changing rooms as well!
There are Companion Restrooms that are set up to ADA handicapped restroom standards. They have raised seat toilets, so are farther off the ground than usual toilets (just so no one expects the small toddler toilets that many mall Family Restrooms have).
Some of them have a changing table, but definitely not all.

Yay!! Thank you :-) my husband changes most of our son's diapers when he's home, so it was weird to encounter so many changing table-less men's rooms on the road. Thank you disney for being more enlightened! Looking forward to our first Disney trip with the little guy...more for our enjoyment than his, but I'm sure at a year there will be some things he's interested in. He did great last week at the baseball hall of fame in cooperstown! (Where they also did not have changing tables in the men's room...)

It definitely seemed like newer restaurants and stops had them in the men's rooms.

It's ridiculous how few changing tables there are out in the real world in men's rooms. And often surprisingly few in women's, too (at least where I live). But like PPs have said, no problem at Disney- all women's and men's have changing tables. And I noticed a few of the women's rooms has more than 1 table.

The nicest spots of all we found for diaper changing were the baby care centers- 1 in each park. They had 4 giant, cushioned tables that an attendant covered with sanitary paper between each changing. They were a nice quiet retreat for several of our diaper changes, and the attendants were really nice. Also inside them are men's and women's bathrooms, a private nursing room, a cartoon TV room, a room with kids table/chairs & highchairs, and a small retail area with a bunch of baby supplies for sale.

We took my son last June when he was one and it was so fun, you will have a great time! It's a good age where they are interested and excited by everything. Have fun:goodvibes

My (then) husband got yelled at (jokingly) by a couple of men leaving the mens room with my son. Apparently they had managed to convince their wives that there were no changing tables, until they saw my husband, lol!!

Yes, ALL the men's rooms have them.

Okay this is priceless!! I tried to tell my husband he could do diaper changes for our daughter but he was concerned about the urinals or something of that nature (she was 2.5 at Disney rather than a baby).

However, the baby care centers saved me!! He loved them and was willing to change diapers there no problem. It was great we could all head in, I could go to the ladies room there and we were usually the only ones there. We were outnumbered by the CM's!
