Driving home from the Mouse right now so thought I would do a quick review of our food experiences.
Arrival night Raglan Road - everyones food was good. We had the sampler appetizer and those scallops are yummy. Was surprised at how yummy the pavlova dessert was. Entertainment was awesome
Epcot - we also stop at Sun shine seasons for counter service. So many yummy healthy choices. I love the beet salad and hubby says the grilled vegetable sandwich is yummy. Dinner was Le Cellier for my sons birthday dinner. Food was fine, not awesome and definitely not as good as our other 2 TS experience this trip. Service was VERY VERY slow and we had a table right by the kitchen. Overall not very happy with experience.
Magic Kingdom - crystal Palace. Food was all tasty. And enough choices that if something didn't appeal you could still find something that did. Service here was spectacular
Wishes dessert party. All desserts were yummy. I think I ate my weight in chocolate covered strawberries and there was this mango milkshake thing that was surprisingly good. View is ok but you still have to stand, can't sit at your seat and see full fireworks.
Hollywood Studios - had a surprisingly good lunch at ABC Commissary
Hoop De Doo - food was awesome if basic, sangria was excellent, and show was a delight as always. I had a lot of sulky preteen moments on this trip from my DS son, but not here!
Nit Disney but we ate at the Three Broomsticks at Hogwarts. Food was good, butter beer and pumpkin juice were surprisingly yummy, lines to get your food were a total misery, not well planned and just frustrating.
Old Key West breakfast counter - one meal we'd like back
POFQ counter service lunch - this is probably the best resort counter service we have been to. Everything was fresh flavorful and PLENTIFUL
Wolf Gang Puck Express - flat bread pizzas were a great size and good. Key lime pie and carrot cake for dessert were even better
Animal Kingdom - kids had to do Pizzafari. Nice that you get a salad with the pizza. The chocolate mousse for dessert was scrumptious
Also there was a beverge stand around the corner from where you order counter service at Yak and Yeti. They had a drink called the Yeti Attack which had rim and mango and berries. Wow!
Jiko was just awesome. 2 of us had the lamb, one e filet, and one duck breast. While the duck and the filet themselves were spectacular the other stuff on the plate wasn't that great BUT the sides with the lamb, Swiss chard and chickpea thing were awesome.
Ohana breakfast - food was fine and who can have issues with all you ca eat Mickey waffles and bacon! That juice is amazing!
Ask questions if you have any

Nice concise review!

Totally agree with you about LC. We stopped going there a few years back. Food was okay, service was so-so (my DM never got her wine) tables were too close together, and there were fries all over the floor. We decided that since so many guest want to eat there we would let them. And that was when it was 1 TS. I wouldn't do if for 2 TS not when you can eat at California Grill for the same 2 credits. Or Narcoossee's.

Do you think a 6 year old would enjoy Hoop De Doo? Also do you know if they have any other food iteams for kids who do not like the menu? Thanks:flower3:

My DD loved HDDR the one time we did it. She was just over 4 at the time. She thought the jokes were really funny! :rotfl: Even my Dniece21 enjoyed parts of the act. We were there in early Dec. so they did some holiday stuff. I wasn't real happy with the way they packed us in-especially since the place was only about 1/2 full on the floor and no one was upstairs. (what is now Category I).It was hard for the performers (and servers) to make their way through the tables. As for the food, from what I recall, the first chicken they brought was okay, barely warm. But when we asked for more wings they were nice and hot and tasty! Lesson learned-if your food isn't to your liking, as for more.

I don't know if they have options for those who don't like the menu. Here's what they say on allears.net about special dietary concerns
Special Meals - If you have special dietary needs, be sure to make that clear when you make your reservation. You should be given a phone number to call at least 48 hours in advance to make arrangements for your meal.

When we went we didn't have the DDP. :scared1: But we did get a discount since my DNiece was a DLR CM. I don't think I would use 2 TS credits for it-I would much rather have a really nice meal somewhere else-like California Grill for example. Which my DD has loved every time we have gone. Even when she was 6. She loved getting dressed up and eating in such a fancy place. And even though it's fancy, children are made to feel more than welcome.

Oh, and one last thing. They tell you to arrive really early but I don't really see the need for it. We arrived while the previous show was still ongoing. There was nothing really to do until our show was seated except wait outside on one of the few rocker chairs next door. There were a few vendors selling items (I remember jewelry) as well as Carriage rides for hire. But it was a cold Dec. night (luckily no rain) and we would have been happier waiting in the WL lobby.

Did you do crystal palace for breakfast? If you did can you tell me if they still have the breakfast lasagna(its fruit based)?
