Quick dessert to snack question for the Dining Plan

We will be using the regular dining plan this summer for the first time in a few years. I read that now instead of your quick service dessert you get a second snack every day. Will this automatically be on the account or will we need to say something when we get our counter service meal?

Quick Service Meals and Snacks are two different categories.
They will be on your account in two different categories.
Your QS Meal will come with an entree and drink.
Snacks may be purchased anywhere that offers snack options.
No reason to say anything to cashier unless you want to use your snack credits for desserts along with your quick service credit.

At most places, you should be able to trade you're drunk for a snack item in the same transaction.
