I need to make a decision fast!! I am coming from newark international airport. The prices are $225 delta song and $245 continental and basically the same times. I know that if you want snacks on deltaSong they charge you. Does anyone know if they charge you for water/soda? Besides the price, what about service, etc?

thanks, Carolyn

Of the two mentioned, Delta has always been my choice, but, I have never flown Song.

We flew Song out of ewr in November and it was just fine. No problems at all. I'd go for lowest price.

You'll likely get TVs on Song, with 24 live stations to choose from, music, and games. All for free.

Ok, so it sounds like the everyone thinks I should go with Delta Song, right?

For the NJ people, is there any real difference between the terminals that continental are in and delta song? A friend told me that delta song's is really old, but does that matter?

Sounds like I will be singing a happy song. Thanks, Carolyn

Ah, no, I just told you my preferences, the choice is still yours and yours alone. :)
As to the age of the terminal, what difference does that make, I would be more concerned about the aircraft. Which, of the two companies you mentioned, there is no concern. Esthetics of where you depart or arrive has little to do with anything.

I've flown both, prefer Song. But, as Gail says, it's your choice. We've used Song for the past 3 flights. No complaints yet. Now, if I could just get a plane with those TV's in 'em. I'm sure by August it won't be a problem.

We fly out of EWR all the time to MCO. We just got back and used SONG. Very nice flight, and very full. We were in the front cabin, row 4 and it was great. SONG uses terminal B.
We alternate between Continental and Delta, and usually pick the better price. We are using SONG for our Easter trip.

Yes, I agree the terminal shouldn't matter; I don't know why my friend brought that up. So, not all Song flights have tv's in them. I assumed they did. All of the continental flights I have been on to florida have had them in them. Too bad, it makes the flight go quicker.

I've flown both Continental and Song ewr to mco. I always take the best price. Figure its only 2 hrs, how bad could it be?

I've been checking airfares, and can't get near yours on Delta or Continental. What are your dates? We're looking at July.princess:

Cindala, I am going on 3/31-4/6. The found out that the key for the lower rates, at least out of Newark to Orlando, is not fly on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. Also, if you fly later in the evening (which I prefer) or earlier in the am (which I hate) then it's cheaper. Carolyn

ps. actually, disney guoted me the same rates for air but had a problem booking them because we are 7 people. You might want to check them out too.

If price were equal I would pick Continental. Simply because Continental has more flights NON-STOP per day going EWR-MCO. If per chance your flight were canceled or delayed Continental would have more options for getting you to your destination (Orlando).

Song is in the process of installing TVs in all of the seat backs. About a 1/4 of the aircraft have them so far. They should be installed in all aircraft by the end of March.
