So, I wanted to jump on the "my quick observations" bandwagon! :)
Since the kiddos Deluxe passes are blacked out every Satuday until August, we braved the Memorial Day crowds and had an awesome day! Probably the lightest traffic we've EVER had!
So, the biggest observation- the new Silly SYmphony Swings...
*WAY fun- the kids loved it!
*DD is only 40 inches, so we had to ride on one of the tandem swings. We skipped half of the line by going in the tandem line. Everyone lines up in the same line, and then when you get to the stairs (and the first measuring station) the lines split into the tandem and the single swing lines. There was only one other family in the tandem line.
*loading was SUPER- DUPER slow! I assume once the CMs get the hang of it, it will go alot quicker. One thing I noticed- many people doubling up in the tandem swings that shouldn't have been, and the CMs had to ask them to split up.
*The music- takes up that ENTIRE corner of the park. The kids wanted to play in the Rustworthy, and then we ate by Oom-Pizza-Wow-Wow (wow, it is painful just to type that cheesy name!) the background theme music cut out when the music for the Silly Swings went off. Also made me notice how slowly it was loading- because it was only about once every 10 minutes or so

Our first time Kid Swapping on Screamin'- My oldest two have hit 48 inches, so we finally got to swap for California Screamin'. Instead of giving us the pass there when DH got in the line, they gave him a lanyard like the red time gauging ones, and he didn't get the kid swap pass until he boarded.

And CARSLAND construction is coming along nicely, so I decided instead of taking normal progress pictures like so many sites have, I took a picture of my DD with the big construction in the background, so I can see themchange together!

I would have inserted pictures, but I didn't take any sweeping landscape pictures, just ones of cute smiling kids... :)

Are the silly swings mainly a kids ride or do you think two adults would enjoy them?

I enjoyed it. The view up there is awesome- you are swinging over the water- kind of like the Golden Zephr, except you are just in a little swing, not a rocket.

And it kind of tugged at my stomach a little bit- it doesn't go around straight. You can see in the artist rendering pictures, the platform that the swings are attatched to wobbles as it goes around, adding a whole different sensation!

Thanks so much for sharing. Those photos look so fun. I'll have to show them to the boys. I know my oldest would really enjoy it.

We never did the swings when it was the big orange... is it just that 2 adults can't ride tandem, or is there a limit on kid's height to ride tandem with an adult?? I am not too worried, dd will hopefully be 45 inches in stocking feet when we go in October... but curious...

Children must be 48" to ride alone. Children between 40 and 48" must ride tandem with an adult.

I never rode it as the Orange either, as mine were never all tall enough.
I think they were sticking pretty strict to the 48 inches and under in the tandems, I saw they seperated a pair of teeneagers and a mom and daughter, and the daughter appeared to be in the 10-13 age range. They let one stay in the tandem swing solo, and the other person moved to a single swing, so the tandems weren't going to waste if there weren't enough little ones.

This is not my type of ride - high and spinny. But my DH and two daughters LOVED it. They rode this past Saturday. I walked up the exit and waited. You could still smell the wet paint.

The pictures iheartdisney posted are AMAZING. I tried to take some pictures of my family up in the air - but since they rode at 8 at night the shots did not come out.
