We are staying at CR in Oct.. We have to have our coffee, but refuse to make it in our room.. Thats part of our vacation, no cooking, cleaning, etc..
Is there someplace there to grab some coffee and take back to our room in the AM?

:drinking1 coffee!!

the food and fun center has coffee. Get a refillable mug and you can get unlimited coffee refills during your stay.

Also, if you are interested in gourmet coffees there is a little coffee place on the lobby level that serves coffees in the mornings. I believe I got an espresso there one morning :earseek: I don't remember exactly what it was DH brought me but it was good!

Edited for spelling... proofreading helps!

There was also a coffee bar there-it is in the lobby around the corner from the front desk.

:cool1: Thank goodness!!!!! I hate the thought of making my own coffee while on vacation!!

Just to stray a bit from the topic, maybe someone can tell me what kind of coffee :drinking1 they supply with your room coffeemaker (anything is better than that Nescafe). Also do they provide cups, sugar packs, creamer, etc? Thanks

We stayed at CBR last summer and they had the coffee maker, coffee, cups, sugar and creamer in packets. It was OK.....but I like the flavored coffee/creamer, etc...Thats why I was hoping the CR had someplace to get a good cup of coffee. I'd love to be able to sit on our balcony and people watch as I drink my coffee in the am. :cloud9: Buying my coffee while on vacation is how I spoil myself. I don't do the spa thing. :bitelip:

I need my coffee 'fix' first thing in the morning! I was at Contemporary Grounds every morning getting coffee for DH and myself. :earsgirl:

you sound like my kinda girl! I do the same thing! I was at CR last week and got a caramel flavored coffe with whipped cream from the grounds...it was 90 degrees outside, but it was YUMMY!

I'm not sure what brand of coffee they have in the room, but it's one of those packs with coffee grounds, which you make with the coffee maker provided. I didn't even try it, since my DH was kind enough to walk over to the little coffee stand in the lobby and bring back a tall latte for me every morning! So, the coffee in the room is definitely not Nescafe Instant or anything. It's nice to have the option of brewing your own, or getting a fancier coffee in the lobby! :)

That caramel coffee with whipped cream sounds delicious!!!! Yummy!!!
Where is this place at in the CR? Is it a far walk? We are staying in the towers. I am so excited, its just one of the things in life that I to indulge myself with. We are both nurses, so our jobs are kinda hetic, that java jolt is what gets me going. Thanks!!!

The Contemporary Grounds is on the same level as the front desk check-in area. It's tucked in a little nook between the escalators and elevators.

Picture this layout:

Check-in desk is at your 12:00pm, and the elevator banks would be at your 6pm. The Fun and food center is at your 1pm, and the coffee bar is at your 5pm, just around the corner.

Thanks for the mental layout!!! I know right where it is!!! All this coffee talk has got me craving a mocha latte! The hazelnut creamjust isn't getting this am. Guess I'll have to pick up one on my way to get our wedding bands!!!!!
That shot of java should get rid of the butterflies in the stomach ;) !!!!
Have a great aday and thanks everyone for the coffee fix!!! Can't wait until Oct..!!! :cool1:

Tinkerrn,

I know just what you mean about getting coffee from a coffee place as opposed to brewing it yourself. My DH brews a pretty good pot of coffee, but nothing beats coffee from a coffee place for a good indulgence.

Enjoy! :earsgirl:

I know exactly how you feel. Although I did make a pot of coffee every morning, bought my own Maxwell House. I did still go to the store at the BC to get coffee every afternoon while DS and DH showered and then at night after we got back from the parks. I just couldn't wait to get back home for a really good 20oz cup from Wawa. I think I was home for 10 minutes before I told DH I was going for coffee.

On my last trip, we went from a Non-Disney hotel to CS, I used the coffee I brought from home first, but I forgot to buy more coffee at the store, so I saved the packets from the first hotel and stored them by the coffee maker at CS. I think the first day we tried the Disney cofee too...so the coffee packets from the other hotel were the only ones by the sink...anyhow, mousekeeping didn't put any more Disney pakets out until the non-Disney ones were gone! I just thought that was kind of funny.

You have three options at the Pepper Market - the coffee bar area or Disney urn coffee (which I think has free refills while you're in the market), you can also get a refillable mug good for your stay (urn coffee).

:umbrella: Personally, we find sending the guys out for coffee in the AM is a great activity to keep them from getting antsy while the rest of us get ready! Forgive my stereotyping, but I think most guys like the idea of a quest activity - a hunt, if you will. Ours are less sure about AM tasks like dressing the little ones. But going on a coffee 'hunt' is right up their alley, and makes them feel like they are making an important group contribution, while also getting them out of our hair. ;)
