Quick Counter Service Review 1/24/08-1/30

I’ll be rating the following counter service meals on the following criteria:

HIGHER IS ALWAYS BETTER EVEN FOR HEC!

SPO- Speed of Ordering. This includes the efficiency of the ordering process, how well castmember knows what “I’ll have the #3 no tomato with apple slices” means, speed of food to my outstretched hands after order taken, and two other variables mentioned later.

HEC- Overall Hectastity of Restaurant experience. This includes availability of seating, how crazy I felt while ordering/devouring, how many kids tried to eat my sandwich, and three other variables mentioned later.

QUAL- Overall Quality of food. Assumes each bite is served on silver plate with gold fork. No relation to cost. Straight up quality rating without further variables to take into account.

VAL- Overall value of meal. There are 18 variables here which are too many to list. Basically it comes down to how happy I was to part with my $20 after consumption of meal.

Earl of Sandwich – Downtown Disney Day 3 Saturday Dinner 7pm

The Full Montagu $5.75
Whatever GF got I don’t remember and she wouldn’t let me try it $5.75

The Earl of Sandwich is great. We went at what I would imagine is the busiest time – Saturday at 7pm and there was a very long line ahead of us. We heard the wait for Rainforest Café was 90 minutes plus which seemed entirely ridiculous but I guess if it was that or brown lobsters at Capn Jacks I would go with the waffle fries and rhinoceros noises. Anyway, the line went by pretty fast. There is not a lot of seating, but we were able to find a table immediately and somehow it seemed that no one was wanting of a table. I am not sure if people went elsewhere or what but it all seemed to work out. My GF went off to sit at a table while I waited in line but I told her to let someone with food sit and we would hope for the best. She bemoaned my ridiculous nature and pointed at all the others people saving tables, but I stood firm in my stance for justice and we hoped for the best. I guess it paid off. The sandwiches here are large, superb, and a great value. Beats any sandwich in the park, although the cold one at Sunshine Seasons was pretty good too. Can’t recommend this place enough and wish there was one around here.

I loved Cosmic Ray's Haven't tried the others as mainly we did counter service at Pop which we found to be excellent. The combo at Cosmic Raqys is great , I enjoyed the ribs and the chicken.I am trying that Andanapur this time and I planned on trying the shrimp did you get dessert? I am going tom try the mango pie!!

It might not seem like I’m an alcoholic since this is my first mention of beer, but in reality I’m a cheap alcoholic and $7 a pop is enough to keep me away from alcohol.

Yes the mango pie does sound interesting and I intend to try it.Loved your cs reviews. I will be writing my own later this month when I get back I leave in 5 yes 5 days !!!!!!
