Quick computer question about resetting homepage

I've somehow lost the bar right under the icons with "file" "edit"....stuff like that, and I want to re-set my homepage. I think I'm looking for the properties selections but I'm not sure.

Does anyone understand what I'm looking for?

You probably set your screen to FULL SCREEN. Try hitting F11 key to set it back to normal.

Oops. I misread your problem. How about trying to reset your toolbar?
Go under VIEW to TOOLBARS. Check the <Standard Buttons>, <Links>, and <Address Books> are checked. See if this works?

Try clicking on "Settings", then "Preferences" then "Internet Properties".

RIght......"view" and "settings" are among the missing! I did hit f11 and the screen got bigger!

Honestly I would just restart your computer. That usually will fix it when that happens.

It's been like this since before the holidays....just no time to think about it until now....so restarting hasn't helped either.

Okay Gail, I am not fully awake this morning so excuse the stupid question here What do you have at the top of the screen? Just curious if you have anything up there at all

i'm trying to recreate your problem,
do you have ANY tool bars like the back and forward buttons etc, i managed to move my file, edit, etc bar down to one of the lower bars but i haven't gotten rid of it completely, have you tried keyboard shortcuts to get to it?
Alt F will open the File menu
Alt T will open tools

Also, can you right click on the toolbar area? I could see options to check Standard Buttons / Links...etc.

And if you hit ALT F, does the File menu comes up? ALT V should bring up the VIEW menu also.

I needed the keyboard shortcuts and Alt V was just what I needed. I was afraid to just start hitting keys because I didn't know what I would do.
