We are wdw vets of many stays -all onsite since purchasing dvc in 1994, so this was a bit unusual. The conference was at Orange County Convention Center off I-drive and we stayed at Marriott Grand Vista in 1 bedroom on promotion tour for $350 ftotal or 4 nights. I won't go into details about the resort(I did in the Orlando hotel discussion). We were there 6/21-6/25/06, conference ended around 4pm each day, but we did cut one day short and have AP's.
Wed 6/21
First day we hit MK at around 3pm had quick hotdog at Caseys and then started touring: DH,DS got FP for SM and then we all did Buzz with 20 mon wait; Carousel of Progress(walk on); they did SM while I did TTA and we met up at HM and all did this with no wait and DS,DH did BTM while I did Philharmagic with 10 minute wait; I had fp for Pooh and DH,DS had one for Splash and we then met up at Tony's for 8:30pm dinner and we were seated in the glass conservatory and had wonderful view of Spectromagic and great dinner(we hadn't been to Tony's in years. I was really surprised about how easy touring was and FP were about an hour away from your getting time.

arrive AK around 5:0pm; do Killimanjaro with 30min wait;DS,DH do Dinosaur while I do ITTBAB;visit shops and decide not to do Kali because we had 8:30pm adr at BOMA which was very good as usual.
Friday6/22
DS/DH hit Disney Quest while I see movie at DTD arrive around 2pm shop around and leave for resort and quiet time and takeout in villa.
Sat 6/23
promotion tour until 12:30pm(no pressure) and then DH and I hit outlets for new sneakers for my blistered feet.
arrive mgm around 3pm DS did ST with no wait and then Darth Vader and a Storm trooper were out taking pictures;all of us did GMR with no wait during parade, DS did RRRC while we shopped around left early to make dinner at Tchoup tchoup(Emeril's) at Royal Pacific Hotel(very good).
Very different trip with limited time, but we had ap's and did not sweat it at all. Crowds very manageable and we have been at the same time 2 years prior and it was much more crowded. Wonder if gas prices had anything to do with it.Couldn't do Epcot because of lightning storm. Ok we'll be back for xmas @OKW.
