Quick ?-Booking meals-60 days out

This is our first visit to DLR. We normally go to WDW. At WDW as long as you are staying in a Disney hotel, you can call and book all of your meal reservations for your whole trip 180 days out from the day you are checking in. This way you don't have to call everyday(180 days out) and make your meal reservations for each individual meal. Does DLR do the same or do I have to call 60 days out from every meal I would like to book? Oh, we are staying at PPH.

You have to wait until you are 60 days out or less. You can book all of your dining reservations during the same phone call though.

Yep. DLR dining reservations are not NEARLY as competitive, so feel free to just wait until 60 days out from your last day and book all of your reservations at once. Depending on when you go, you can often still get great reservation times a few days away. I have made reservations just hours before

Just pointing out, no hurry to make reservations. Unless you are going on one of the busiest days of the year, 30 days, two weeks, one week, or even the day before should be fine.

They won't let you book for your whole trip depending on how long you are staying. I am also used to WDW dining & getting to book meals for up to 10 days.
I called DL at my 60 day mark & could only book for up to 3 days. If you are staying longer than that, then you need to call back to make the rest of your ressies. I wasn't to thrilled about it, I did get what I wanted.

For DLR I always book a few days before my trip and never have a problem getting the time and restaurant I want.

I agree with all the PPs who said getting dining reservations so early unless it's a holiday is not necessary. Since you're staying at a Disney hotel though and you want to just get everything done at once, you can contact Vacation Planning with all of your reservation requests, and they will make them for you when the time windows open.
