In a diabolical plan to get another trip to Disney, I convinced my employer to send me to Microsoft TechEd at the Orlando Convention Center from June 11-14. Naturally, I sandwiched the convention between two weekends at WDW! The first weekend I spent with a coworker and the last weekend with DS19. Amazing as usual and here's the scoop on our dining...

Hoop Dee Doo Review (5pm show) - I love this show and the food! The temperature of the food could have been warmer, but I give them a pass due to the quantity of food they put out all at once.

Sunshine Seasons (Breakfast) - Sausage, egg, and cheese on focaccia was good and of large quantity. Good choice for a quick breakfast after obtaining Soarin' FP.

Via Napoli (Lunch) - Lovely atmosphere! Pizza was good and service was great! We will be back.

Teppan Edo (Dinner) - Another returning favorite! Consistent and fun! We had a great table mates which really helps!

Crystal Palace (Breakfast) - Overpriced but what can you do. We had an average breakfast and got pictures with all the characters in about 1.5 hours.

Kona Cafe (Lunch) - Was so hopeful...ended up being fair. The potstickers were just ok and the Ahi sandwich was overcooked. The fish tacos got a good review from my friend.

Contempo Cafe (Dinner) - Burgers were...blah!

Flying Fish (Birthday Dinner) - Good food, good service, interesting atmosphere. I had the prix fixe and the steak had a weird texture to me. The snapper was delicious!

Boma (Dinner) - OMG! My new favorite restaurant! I have avoided it because of the odd sounding menu but it was so good! I can't wait to plan another trip and go back!

Wolfgang Puck Express (Dinner) - I love this place! It goes back to the days when I loved the dining plan and it was a great value, but it still holds it's charm for me.

Crystal Palace (Dinner) - Again I would say overpriced, but we did enjoy our meal here and were able to see all four characters within 45 minutes. :)

Sci Fi Dine In (Lunch) - Fair...I thought my burger was ok, but DS19 was not happy with his. I like the atmosphere here, but I wish the food would improve.

Captain's Grill (Dinner) - Could have been great, but it just seemed awkward. Not sure if it was because we were there at 5:30 or what, but the staff was a little too casual as were some of the patrons. I was hoping for a more sophisticated experience. Maybe I should have gone to Yachtsman.

Beach Club room service (Midnight snack) - pizza and chocolate chips cookies hit the spot after the second showing of Fantasmic!

Thanks for reading and feel free to ask questions!

I love your quick and dirty dining review..
The places are pretty much what we usually do too..except Boma and Flying Fish..I love Crystal Palace for dinner and we had a great time a month ago...I need to go back now that I have my feet planted on the ground at home...Always good for another trip to dining Disney Way..
Thanks again for the review

we find the alcoholic milkshakes at Sci-Fi make the food a lot better!

thanks for the quick reviews!

Glad to hear you liked Boma, we were kind of wary of it, but it's our all time favorite now.
