Hi again,

We're due to go next weekend and can anyone give us a rough idea on how long we will have to queue for the rides like: Buzz Lightyear, Its a Small World, (or IASW to you experienced Disney bloggers!), Cars Rally etc.

Also, I've stumbled across an info site (but can't find it again) that gives you the various showtimes and when the performances are in English, i.e. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The only showtimes we can find on the Disney site are for April and we would really like to find out more before we get there.

That's all folks! (Thanks again).

Buzz has always been popular when we went before but it is a fast pass ride so you can get a time to return. IASW loads quickly and we have waited max of 20 mins for this.

I think the new showtimes etc come out after the 30th April on the disney site or I am hoping so anyway - I'm waiting for these as we go on Monday 4th May.

Dont have any experience of Cars Rally as a new ride for us too.

Are you only there over the weekend Comeback Kid, or are you there for a day or so midweek also? The reason I'm asking is, at weekends the parks are much much busier than midweek, so queue times at the weekend, and queue times midweek, will be very different.

I've only ever been to DLRP midweek, out of school holidays (I don't do queues :goodvibes), so my wait times would not be much use to you for a weekend visit I'm afraid.

We are arriving Saturday 9 May approx mid afternoon and leaving Monday 11 May approx mid afternoon. We realise it will be busier than going mid week.
Hopefully not as much as school summer holidays.

We did a weekend in March (I keep saying I'm not doing another weekend but I've just done my 3rd one) and faced hour long (minimum) waits for everything on Saturday and Sunday - sorry to be the barer of bad news. If you can have a rest in the afternoons I'd highly recommend considering being in the park until late, Saturday evening I'm afraid wasn't much quieter but Sunday evening was the only time during the weekend that waiting times were down around the 20 - 30 mins mark, I think lots of locals leave around tea time because of work, school the following day.

My advice would be make as much use of EMH and Fastpasses as you can.
Go for the 7.00am breakfast slot and then either go to Fantasyland or to Discoveryland for Buzz, as far as I know IASW never opens before 10.00, get in the queue early on, it looks long but it moves quickly and perhaps get one of your group to run over to Peter Pan to get FP's as soon as the machines are uncovered.

If you're intending to watch the shows I'd suggest doing it Saturday, by the time you arrive there won't be any FP's left and there will be long queues for the rides. I'd possibly even consider the Studios Saturday afternoon, it might be a little quieter than the Main park and then you could nip into the main park when WDS closes.

It is possible to do DLP over a weekend, but you do need to do a bit of preplanning - hope you have a lovely time. :)

We were there from 18th till 21st April (Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue) and I have to say that I actually thought the park was busier on Mon/Tue than Sat/Sun!
Buzz queues on Saturday PM were 70 minutes, Tuesday was 90 minutes!!!
Saturday night, they were still issuing fast passes well after 7pm but by Tuesday I noticed when we were on our way to Lucky Nugget for lunch at 2pm, all the fastpasses were gone for Buzz :confused3

We were very lucky that we had an "easy access pass" because we have a disabled child which meant we didnt have to queue- all I can say is thank goodness because the queues were long.

Disney Studios however on Monday was much quieter.

Good luck :)

We were there at the same time. We got up early and used the Extra Magic Hours to get around the Park when it was quiet. We then grabbed a brunch at the hotel (we were close, luckily) and hit a few more rides before crashing out for an hour or two during the early afternoons (which we found busy). Evenings were pretty good and the queues not too bad.

But you will need to use Fastpass and do be prepared for average of at least 30 minutes (possibly a lot longer) for things like Dumbo if you're not careful.
