How do you travel on buses with your infant? We'll be taking our 8 month old in Sept. Do we need a car seat for her or will it be OK just to hold her on the buses?

On the buses you will just hold a child.

Hold her!
They are regular seats, no way too hook up a car seat!!! Besides you couldnt lug the car seat around with you all day.
Have a great time!

I believe Magical Express uses buses that do not have seatbelts, so you would not be able to install a carseat. However, if I were travelling with an infant, I'd take my infant carrier anyway. Buses use compartmentalization to prevent injuries. That means that if there's a crash, you will be thrown into the seat in front of you. If you are holding or wearing your baby at that time, she becomes your airbag. Not good! I'd leave her in the carrier on the bus seat. She'll be safer and more comfortable in her carrier on the airplane as well. :flower:

When we rode on the buses last fall with our 4 month old DD, I kept her strapped into the Baby Bjorn. It made me feel a little more secure.

Disney transportation buses - I used my sling, and boy was I glad I had it! Especially for standing room only, b/c it was hard to hold onto her and hold onto a bar without the sling (only made that mistake once!)
My kids consider the buses as part of Disney's attractions, so enjoy!
