Queston about AP renewal

My sister has an AP which expired Sept. 30th. I know you would get a special discounted rate if you renewed within a certain time frame. She DOESN'T want to renew within this time frame as she is not going back til next Oct (these passes would be expired by that time! ). Do you know when she would be able to purchase new APs that wouldn't be activated til her next visit?

You have 30 days after expiration to renew an annual pass. I assume she could get vouchers for new aps anytime after than 30 days.

Thanks for the reply!! I'll be sure to pass this info on to my sister. She wants to get them before the end of the year so she can still take advantage of the Disney Club discount for the APs!!

When you renew your Annual Passport, it starts the day your old one ended. So if your passport expires April 10, 2001 and renew it; the new one begins April 11, 2001. It no longer gets activated when you first use it. Therefore, if you are not returning to WDW for a while, you need to consider if renewing your passport is financially your best option. It might make more sense to you, to wait and just start a brand new one on your next visit.

The 30 day renewal window you used to get to renew an AP/PAP after it expired was discontinued in October, 2000. You must now renew by your expiration date to get the renewal rate. Your renewed pass will begin the day after the old one expires. **There have been some recent reports of people being able to renew an AP/PAP that expired a month or so before being renewed at a WDW Guest Relations window. The pass was backdated to the previous expiration.

Edited because I re-read the OP and saw that your sister does not want to renew. Oh well, maybe someone esle can use the info I posted even though it is not applicable to your situation.
