Bear with me, I have some questions here!

I am planning to book Hojo soon with the entertainment rate for June 4-7. :thumbsup2 I have checked online and found the entertainment rate for June 4th and 5th is $79 for a premium room. I know it is not available for the 6th. I have noticed that the premium room is not available online for the 6th. Is it possible to book the first two with the entertainment rate and get the 3rd night in the same room?

Another question I have is transportation. I am looking into Super Shuttle. I have gone on greyhound Disneyland last year and somehow, didn't get the travel documents for it. :confused3 We were able to get on it, but I want to avoid this problem this time.

Through the company I work with, I have gotten tickets for 2 days, but I would like a ticket to the parks for the third day. Would getting another ticket work the same as one for all three days?

Anna

If you call them directly they will book your room and apply the ENT rate to the room for the nights it is available and just charge another rate the rest of the time. If you have AAA you get a discount or you can mention the Disboards and get a discount for that other night as well. Just call them and ask. They are super nice!! :)

Also you can probably bring your 2 day ticket to the booth and pay the difference to upgrade to a 3 day park hopper....if that is what you meant.

Which airport are you flying into? I have used supershuttle many times and they are okay. It sucks if you have someone who needs to go elsewhere but usually everyone is headed to DLR and so it doesn't take too long. It is pretty cheap. I haven't used the DLE so can't help you out there.

Call the hotel directly and dont wait too long as you there are only a certain number of rooms available at the Entertainment rate and they can take away dates at any time. You will not need to pay anything now, so it wont hurt your pocket book to reserve your room now
I am not sure about your question regarding the 6th. Are you saying the 6th is not available at the entertainment rate or that there is no available rooms at the hotel for the 6th? If nothing is available at the hotel, sorry you are out of luck. If the 6th is just not available at the entertainment rate, then you can get Et rate for 4 and 5th and other discounted rate for 6th (AAA, Disboards, AP, etc)

Tickets-- your current 2 day ticket plus a seperate 1 day ticket will not act the same as a 3 day ticket-- thus no MM
If you upgrade your 2 day ticket to a 3 day ticket then you would get one MM

I dont know about transportation

I'd reserve that room asap! My June dates were gone within 48 hours of being posted (so glad I called as soon as I saw them).

If you can upgrade your 2-day ticket to a 3-day, that would be the best option. (I haven't dealt with upgrades so I don't know how they work.)

As mentioned earlier, you will get a Magic Morning if you have a 3-day ticket. I would be more interested in the cost savings of upgrading, versus getting a 1-day ticket to go with your 2-day.

A 3-day ticket at the parks costs $199....but a 1-day hopper costs $94 (!). So if you buy a single day ticket (assuming you want to skip between Disneyland and DCA) it will cost you $94, whereas if you were able to get $143 applied from your 2-day ticket to a 3-day ticket, you would only pay $56 for that third day.

But I don't actually know how upgrades work, since I've never tried. :confused3 And there may be some other tricks I'm not aware of too.

Have a wonderful trip!

To upgrade just stop by the ticket booth any of your first 2 days of use. They will apply the total that you paid for the 2 day hoppers and you will pay the difference for the 3 day hoppers. Of course if you want to use the MM you will need to be aware of when those are and plan accordingly. :)

The upgrade could be tricky. It will depend on if there is a value attached to the 2 day tickets you receive from your company. Some tickets given as gifts do not have a monetary value attached, so you can't upgrade them. At least, this is what I understand from what I've read over the past month or so.

We will be at HoJo during part of the same time, and I was able to reserve a Premium Room for our entire trip -- we'll have a day or two at the Ent rate, then 2 days at the non-Ent rate, then the rest of our stay at Ent rate. However, it will depend on if there are Premium rooms available during those dates. When you said the premium room wasn't available online for the 6th, that makes me think that they may be sold out of premium rooms for that date. If you want to stay in the same room the whole time, you may need to go to a Deluxe.

Give them a call and they'll help you out! They're great at the HoJo.

Here's what I have decided:

We're going June 1-4th to Hojo Anaheim. That way, I can take advantage of the entertainment rate all through the three days. Also, the premium room looks to be available at that time too. How good a view do you get of the park from that room? I'd love to be able to see the fireworks. I have a bad leg from an old injury and standing for hours for teh fireworks to start was torture last time.

Also, has anyone used Disney gift cards while at the park? I'm thinking of getting some so we won't have to use as much cash. Where all are tehy accepted?

Not sure about upgrading the tiks yet, but I know Kenny liked being able to go into the park early on the day it was available...no lines! :worship:

Cant speak for the view as I haven't stayed there yet and will be arriving the day before you for my first hojo experience. As far as the gift cards that is what we do. We order them before we go and bring very little cash. Disney gift cards are accepted in both parks and probably the hotels wherever they can run a card. Some of the small food carts around DLR cannot run a card and so they need cash. Also not sure if anywhere in DTD accepts them but I doubt it as they are not disney stores (except WOD). Enjoy your trip! :)

Request a top floor room in building one with a view that's not blocked by trees. We requested it 6 months in advance, then I called and checked on our request a couple of weeks before, to make sure they knew about the request. We got room 1713, which had a great view of the Matterhorn (and if fireworks had been running during the week, would have had a great firework view!) There are big Ponderosa pines planted in front of Bldng 1, and some of the rooms have blocked views. Ours was fine. You can see pics of our view in my trip report, page 5, on our 3rd day.

Gift cards: we had a couple of Disney gift cards to use while we were there, and they came in very handy. Easy to whip out to pay for food, souvenirs, anything in the hotel gift shops, meals inside the parks. Some people like to budget their spending for food and souvenirs that way. We liked to give small ones to our kids to spend as they wanted for snacks and souvenirs.

Thanks for teh info! That is really good about teh gift cards. We don't have any children right now, but if we did, I would probably give them gift cards.

I do have another question. My company is sending me e-tickets form teh DL site. How would these work? I don't want to get up to the gate with them and not be able to get through! :scared1:

I cant give you an opinion on the entertainment rate as I have never used it, but as for Super shuttle. I use this every single trip. Others on here have disliked it and dont like waiting for other people to get dropped off at their hotel, but their hotel is in the same area as yours. So honestly from getting to the airport to our hotel, the longest I have ever been in that shuttle is 35 minutes. This includes driving from the airport along the freeway to other hotels and then to mine. Its not so bad. I have also been dropped off first before so maybe you will luck out like me.

For me I purchase my Super Shuttle tickets online or I call them up on the phone. Either way after purchase through email, they send a voucher which is just printed off and brought to the air port. Sign it in front of them and they take from you it and load your luggage into the van, then your on your way. Super easy. Although dont forget that either way if you make reservations online or over the phone its just courtesy get a hold of SH at some point before your trip and let them know when your flight is coming in so they know when to expect you. This they appreciate, although many of us myself included have not done this not knowing and have walked up anyway and been given a lift.

It is nice when you are dropped first but it took us 90 mins last time because the other people in our van were not going to disney.

And the etickets will be fine! They should have a barcode that they can scan and then they'll give you an actual ticket! :)
