Thoughts about how the food is here? Any suggestions on food? What times do the belly dancers dance?

we enjoyed the food immensely. But it was not all that spicy. We will go back. The belly dancer came out towards the very end of our meal. Our ressie was for 430pm

One of our favorite restaurants. I love the seafood and chicken bastillas. My husband and I always share the sultan sampler so he can have the beef kabob and brewrat roll and I get the chicken bastilla and the veggie couscous. The bastilla for dessert is also delicious. Hope you like it if you decide to go.

We went there two years ago during the Christmas season. I absolutely hated it, but my boyfriend loved it. I say if you like lamb, you'll enjoy it. Otherwise, it is not something I'd recommend.

This restaurant has been one of my favs. I was there 2 weeks ago and it was not quite as wonderful as usual, but not every service is going to be the same...so I still love it. The entertainment is fun, the food is good if not GREAT sometimes and I think you should try them all at least once.

We went here in October and it was our worst meal the entire trip. My husband is Egyptian and wanted to eat some of the food he's used to. Even he hated it! Our ressie was for 5pm and we were out of there by 6pm because the food was so bad. We didn't even stay for dessert and we had the deluxe plan!

the food was different for us - but overall we enjoyed it. It wasn't our favorite meal - but it certainly wasn't horrible.

We ate about 3:45 - and were ready to leave about 4:45. Our server was nice enough to invite us to stay - she told us the belly dancing starts about 5:00 pm. So we did stay and enjoyed the entertainment. The dancer was beautiful, danced lovely - and even invited my twin DDs up and gave them a belly dancing lesson.

We would go again. The atmosphere & entertainment were worth going. I would think the food would be hit or miss depending on your taste & what you order. I played it safe and ordered chicken kabobs - they were very tender & good. My Dh got the seafood sampler and ate every bite. He said some things on the sampler were "weird" to him but he loved the seasoned olives very much. And how "weird" could it have been as his plate was cleaned completely off. :) My DDs didn't care for their version of pasta w/sauce - but they did love trying the new place due to the entertainment.

If you've not been - I'd say it's worth going to at least once and trying for yourself.

Mom and I ate there for the candle light processional earlier this month. It was good, not as good as in the past but still very enjoyable.

We ate here last week and while not horrible, we will never dine here again. For us, it is one of those restaurants we are glad we tried, but we want be doing it again. Our ADR was for 530 and the entertainment was provided towards the end of our meal. My DD's enjoyed the dancer and liked going on stage with her for belly dancing lessons. This was the highlight of the meal. :)

I like it, but then again - I don't eat the meat dishes, so can't say about those. But I will say that I used to frequent this place at least once a month, but about 2-3 months ago, they changed the menu and the recipes. I prefered the previous couscous, and they no longer have boneless chicken breast (which my friend will only eat chicken that is boneless - so that's a downer). While changing the menu some, they did increase the prices by a lot. I agree with others that you should give it a try - I still eat there, but now once every few months - and I only order off the appetizer menu.

You can find the belly dancer / band schedule on the Steve Soares site.

It's been a few years since I went. At the time, it was tasty but pricey for what it offered. The atmosphere was very nice, and the entertainment was a lot of fun. Service was very slow.

I honestly find the counter service (Tangierine Cafe) to be better, larger portions, and much cheaper. We just go there instead now.

We love Marrakesh and go almost everytime we are there. It's a bit of a tradition for us. The Couscous is yummy, I love the shish Kababs, i've had a very good chicken dish there also. Can't say i've had the lamb so you don't necessarily have to like lamb in order to enjoy the restuarant.
