We are planning our first land/sea trip for September. I've got a question about the day we are going from the parks to the ship. Do we get to spend any of that day in the parks, or do we spend most of it traveling from one place to the next? Also does anyone know if the buses that take you from the parks to the ship have any video entertainment for the kids?
Thanks! :earsboy:

The buses from WDW to Port Canaveral leave about 11:00 or so. There is also a bus that leaves later in the day from AK, so there's the chance to tour that park a little on the departure day. Remember, though, that the massive wave of people boarding the ship (and taking up all the Palo's, spa, and cabana massage ressies) are going to be there earlier.

The ride from WDW to the port takes an hour and change, and they have monitors on the buses. There's a video to watch about the ship and some of the options you have, but when that's not on they always play Disney cartoons or something to keep the little ones entertained.

However, it's been our experience that after four days at a dead run in the parks, even the most hyper little monkeys eventually fall asleep on the bus ride.
