Questions on TTC

I know that TTC still exists, but exactly is its purpose? I'm pretty sure that both monorails stop there and that's where you transfer from one monorail (hotel loop) to park loop? Its also where you park for MK, but can you go to the TTC and take a bus to any of the resorts?

We have late ADR's at O'Hana's and it would be great if we could just hop the monorail to TTC and then a bus to POP. Otherwise my options are:

1. Monorail to Epcot or MK; then walk off the monorail and to the bus stop and wait; or

2. Cab.

I'm sure the cab is the easiest, but it's supposed to be a "budget" trip.

it's absolutely antiquated other than keeping the guest driving to the park from avoiding the true experience they were intended to have. it does have a gift shop though.

the only buses at the TTC are for MGM, DAK, the LYNX public bus system and DTD area hotels/SOG, etc. You can't take a bus to a Disney resort from there. There is a path to walk to the Polynesian though (the Poly is quite visible from parts of the TTC).

i'd probably walk to the TTC from Poly (walking should be faster, but the monorail is still an option) and then ferry to the MK (it'd be a great time to take the ferry if you never have) and then catch the POP bus there - the dock is near the buses as opposed to the monorail which is clear across the park entrance. but you need to be careful of timing, right after Wishes or something like that is going to give you an excruciating long line for the bus.

bradk has the right idea. Take the short walk from Poly to TTC. From there, you can monorail to MK and get a Pop bus there, OR monorail to Epcot and take a Pop bus from there. Going to Epcot won't be out of the way, as it is in the same general direction as Pop.

However, you have to make sure that either park won't have been closed for a long time if you try to do it this way. Buses will leave from the parks to go to the resorts still for at least 90 minutes or so after the park closing time, to make sure no day guests are left stranded.

If all else fails, you can take a bus from Poly to Downtown Disney, and at DTD catch a bus to Pop.

Another alternative would be to take the launch from the Poly dock to the MK, then get the Pop bus from there.

It doesn't make any sense to walk to the TTC from the Poly and then take the monorail to the MK, since it will stop at the Poly. The quickest option would be--monorail to MK, bus to Pop.

I would recommend monorail from Poly to MK, then walk to buses for the Pop bus, or else take the launch. Depending on timing, both could take about the same length of time.

However, cab far should only be around $10-12 max plus tip, if that doesn't blow the budget. Valet will call a cab if one isn't waiting, takes about 5 minutes.

i stick with walking to TTC, ferry to MK. the ferry is great and overlooked by those who don't need to take it. especially in the dark. and the dock is by the bus stops.

just thinking about that last bit being walking from the monorail to the POP bus stop makes me cringe. is anyone else considering what a tiresome walk that is? it is to me anyway.

I think you're still walking the same distance - from Polynesian to TTC, then MK ferry dock to Pop bus. You're right, though - it's a long haul from the monorail station to the Pop bus stop, which is probably closer to the Contemporary than the MK!!!
