I agree w/ SSRex. We have been to the GF Concierged twice in the last 6 years and it is wonderful! On our 5th anniversary we stayed in the turret room in the main bldg(requested MK view, and got the Wedding Pavilion view.... disappointed at first and then found it to be just as nice). There are only 6 turret rooms and they are HUGE, but no balconies. Didn't hurt us seeing as it rained 10 out of the 11 days, but we might have wanted to sit on a balcony if it was sunny. The next visit we stayed in the wing starting w/ a "C" (I can't remember it now) in the main bldg. These are known as the honeymoon suites and look out over the marina and Castle. PERFECT view w/ a balcony and we were able to see the fireworks every night from our room. Doesn't get much better than that.
We ate in V&A's and Narcoosee's both visits and had marvelous food and service both times. Be careful of the wine pairing at V&A's. The drinks are delicious but each time I left having to lean on my husband to get back to the room. 1900 Park Fair is a wonderful character breakfast w/ Mary Poppins and Alice and the Mad Hatter so if you still want to hang out w/ the characters on your anniversary, this is a nice time.
I haven't had the time to do tea in the afternoon in the tea room in the main lodge, but I hear it is LOVELY. We enjoyed sitting on the beach behind the pool (very secluded) and watched the boats going by from resort to resort. We enjoyed the theme pool AND the quiet pool. Both are nice depending on what you want for your anniversary.... quiet and seclusion or hustle and bustle and people watching. Taking the monorail to the other resorts is a lot of fun esp. during the holidays to see the decorations, but in March, it might still be fun to check out the other themes. A short walk to the Poly can get you to a Luau and you will pass flickering tiki torches throughout the resort. We enjoy going on the water sprites and exploring the lagoon from the MK to the resorts surrounding the lagoon, to the pirate shipwreck off of Discovery Island. The fastest ones IMO are at the CR, a short monorail trip away. Hanging out in the lobby is fun listening to the small orchestra playing. There are comfy couches throughout and my DH and I during the torrential downpours would read after breakfast and play board games into the night.
3 nights in March won't provide you enough time to do most of these, but at least they are some ideas from which to choose. If I were you, I would focus on doing things at the resort itself esp. w/in the concierge areas, because that is what you are paying for and when you are staying elsewhere another year, you won't be allowed in those areas. So I'd hang out at the parks on another visit. This time I'd go to V&A or stroll over to Narcoosee's, take your time munching on the foods on the concierge floor while reading and relaxing, drink your coffee on your balcony and enjoy the view, hang out at the pool at your leisure and don't schedule yourself to much or you'll lose out on the smallest of details which make the GF oh so special.
