Questions on special 7 day western in 2006

First 7 day cruise in Oct 06 for the six of us 2 adults/4 children. What is the timeframe I should be looking at for booking a hotel the day before and transportation to and from the airport other than the DCL bus? Any suggestions on hotels and transportation would be welcomed.

I have been reading this board for a while and haven't seen too many posts pertaining the the 7 day western. Did we make a wrong choice?

When the special westerns were announced (last fall) there were MANY posts about the double CC dip! Many DISers have booked the trips

Although I am not positive, many posts have suggested that hotels near port will only book 1 year in advance.

Have you found your cruise date on the meet board???

No, I haven't checked the boards yet. I know I have lots of time for planning, I guess I am just a compulsive planner.
