Questions on Rendez Vous des Stars

OMG I love Remi and I've just watched the video of him at the restaurant on DLRP Magic.
Does anyone know if it's a regular occurence ?
Does he come to everyone's table ?

We're planning at least one day in the studios so are definately eating in here, next visit.

We ate here in the summer ( I will do a review soon) and were visited by Remy three times!!

The CM recognised she had already brought him round to our table and it was only a fleeting visit on the second and third times but he really is as sweet as he looks on that video!

IMO it's worth dining here just to experience him but the food was good too!

We hadn't made a reservation, it was left on my list as a 'may-be', so just popped in on the spur of the moment but I don't see why not ~ it is classed as a table service restaurant now.

Yes you can do. Both City Hall and the reservation booth inside Studio 1 offered bookings at Rendez Vous des Stars in October

I called and tried to make a reservation. They said they don't take reservations for Rendez vous des stars . So we will just turn up

I'm sure someone mentioned this before ~ it looks like they take reservations on-site but not on the phone.

However, don't worry because we turned up at 1pm in the middle of the summer season and were seated immediately. I'm sure you won't have a problem.

Do I understand this right that Walt Disney Studios has now got a proper restaurant. Ths has always been one of the downsides of this park that all the food was only fast food. We both love Ratatouille so this restaurant has to go on the to do list if it is not another fast food restaurant in sheep's clothing.

Its a buffet I think but definitely sounds better than the other places in the studios

Yes, it's very long overdue, isn't it. We ate there previously when it was a self-service and in fact the food was good quality then, I can remember having to wait for them to cook fresh salmon but the choice was very limited. If I remember correctly there was only a choice of three mains in those days.

We thoroughly enjoyed our buffet, there are some excellent photos by lilouw on the Review thread. The food is of the standard of Plaza Gardens, if that's any help.

Buffet is good. We have completely different tastes in food and I am quite a fuzzy eater. So buffets suit us down to the ground as we can just choose what we like. The last time I was in Walt Disney Studios for a meal time, we ended up at Hollywood Brown Derby at Studio One, which was McDonalds with fancy theming. At the time Walt Disney Studios was a half day at best, so the second time round we left Walt Disney Studios at about 14:00 and went to the Rainforrest Cafe for a late lunch. Having had a look at the park maps, they put loads of new attractions in there so it might well take the best part of the day to see and do everything. I really don't want to leave the park half way through to find something to eat. So I am very happy that Rendezvous des Stars will be an option this time.

Shame. I would have been disappointed not to see Remy as it looked very cool

We had some DLRP bigwigs come and chat to us whilst we were in there and we did let them know that Remy was the reason we had gone there.

We ate there this week and didn't see Remy either but the food was good enough it didn't matter.
