Questions on RD line-up

For our upcoming trip we are staying at the Swan. So we do not have Magic Bands, we have RFID enabled tickets from UT. We plan on being at pretty much every park about 45 minutes before opening and I was wondering if there are any rules about where we need to lineup?

Are all entry lanes tapstiles and do they work for both MB and RFID cards.

All entries are tapstiles and all take either RFID tickets or MBs.

We've never done MK rope drop, is that what it looks like? Because of short park hours in our upcoming trip in September, was planning to make ourselves into a rope drop family. But wow.

IMO the photos make it look worse than it really is. Just get there by 8:15 (for 9:00) and all this will be behind you. We always stake out a spot and have plenty of breathing room to move around etc - I think the worst part is when you start walking. We've been pushed, run over by strollers etc. It just requires lots of deep breaths before you get on that first ride. But I find its worth 5-10 minutes of uncomfortableness to have a line free, stress free day going on everything you want to go on.

Just being funny... no one usually gets hurt. But it can seem rather disorganized.

I do rope drop all the time in Sept. its not that bad. and really that isnt a whole ton of people once they get in the door. Please dont shy away from RD in sept its completly and 100% worth it!!! ive been doing it for years!!!!
