I usually use Thrifty rentals cars in MCO, but have switched over to use Hertz this time. I've gotten a better rate with my AAA Discount at Hertz and had problem with Thifty buses last year. Took 45 mins to get over to the rental site from MCO.

How is the bus transportation for Hertz. Quick Reliable ?
How are the cars at Hertz, I'm renting Ford Escape or Similar.

Which do you prefer Hertz or Thrifty.

Thanks.

I am Hertz Presidents Circle (formerly Gold Club) and only use them at MCO after some less than stellar National experiences.

I have never waited for a bus - there is always one at the terminal, even at midnight.

I have a 'no SUV, no major upgrade' line in my profile, but last week at a different location had a Toyota Highlander. At MCO I have had a Corolla (the agent begged to upgrade me but I said no), a Solara, etc.

Hertz has fewer Ford products than before; I often see a mix of Ford and Toyota. Once I had an HHR as well.

Hertz by a landslide over Thrifty. Like Barvaria I have never waited on a bus and I can't imagine it taking 45 minutes. It's very close to MCO.

The buses are fast and clean. I find the service at MCO to be very good. I am currently driving a Honda Accord with 2,000 miles on it (and I put 400 of them on the car) from the Atlanta Hertz location.

Hertz is great at MCO. I have never waited for a bus. Their cars are always clean and in good shape.

Glad to hear positive reviews, but also have a few questions.

What do you do after collecting you luggage from bagage claim? Do you have to use a courtesy phone to notify Hertz you are there or just go outside to find a shuttle waiting?

DH and I are renting and economy class car, what should we expect? Their website said Hyundai Accent or similar. Any 1st hand experience? How likely would a complimentary upgrade in class be?

BTW we are flying in to MCO and driving home. :car: We got a super cheap rate as part of a drive out of Fla promo, used code ONEWAY picking up at MCO and returning to an airport location in Ohio.

Thanks in advance and sorry to hijack!

Just go out the lower level and look right or left for a Hertz bus.

Can't comment on an economy car with Hertz as a Pres Circle I get upgrades (that I usually don't want!) Smallest I drove with them was a Corolla

For as cheap as the rates are with the current one way offer why not reserve a higher class?
