Questions on first weeks of Janaury

hi. I heard that the christmas season ends on Tuesday January 6th. i have a few questions i hope DIsers will be able to help answer. thanks
- does that mean Tuesday Jan 6th is last day of christmas season, and then starting Jan 7th they start taking down decorations, changing menus and closing haunted mansion holiday ?

-do schools in southern California resume on January 7th? or January 5th?

- 3 kings day is jan 4 - 6. Does this take place only in disneyland park at the BTR jamboree area? or anywhere else ?

- with january 3 - 6 being the last weekend of christmas, and the 3 kings day.... does Disneyland and DCA have large crowds that weekend?

- how about right after the christmas season ends? Jan 7 - 15? will this be crowded during the WEEKDAYs? or will be low crowds?

- also, with the STAR WARS half marathon, jan 15 - 18. should we expect large crowds in both DCA and disneyland those dates?

No 2 local school districts follow the same calendar. If holidays end the 6th, then yes, HMH will be closed on the 7th. The first week of January is very crowded, especially in the afternoons. APs become unblocked and many want to experience the holidays before they end. This is the first Star Wars running event, but when it was a Tinkerbell event in previous years there were increased crowds. There will also likely not be MM on race days.

Yes if these dates are right. We were there last year at this time and the decorations come down bit by bit. But the HM goes right into refurb and the menus change right away. IASW will stay in holiday overlay for a few weeks. The Christmas parade will be done and a new one does not come back for a few weeks, but the Pixar parade at DCA is the same.

We found it all over at DCA last year. A mini parade, activities and food were found by boardwalk pasta and pizza.

- with january 3 - 6 being the last weekend of christmas, and the 3 kings day.... does Disneyland and DCA have large crowds that weekend? Yes as the AP's are unblocked, we found it normal for a 20-45 minute wait for rides last year.

We found a few days after Xmas ended the crowds dropped a lot last year.

I would assume so.

Have a magical time
