Questions on FastPasses

I just completed by FastPass selections. I'm worried that I won't have enough time to make it to the next one. I'm leaving a gap of between 1-1/2 and 2 hrs between FastPasses. Is that enough time? I guess I'm limited in what I do next waiting for the next FastPass time especially if there is a wait time for the other attractions. After you get in on a FastPass, how long is the wait until you actually get on the attraction? Also, what happens if my child doesn't want to use his FastPass? Do we all have to use it or can one out of three be used? Thanks in advance for any help.

That's plenty of time in between selections. A typical FP+ wait is low, just a couple of minutes to perhaps 15-20. All FP+ do not need to be used.

I often don't leave any time between FP.

Say you have a FP for 10:30-11:30 to even a long ride, like Kilimanjaro Safari. You get there at 10:40, and you are on the ride by 10:50, and off by 11:30.

Even if your next FP is 11:30-12:30, you still have an entire hour to get there.

With the hour window, there is no need to spread them out, unless that works better for your personal touring plan. (For example, leaving space for meals and shows.)

Agree with subtchr. I don't normally leave time between FPs either.
You'll have plenty of time. Don't forget that your window is an hour long. You can show up at the beginning of that hour or at the end which means if you get to your first FP at the start of your window, you have two hours to do both rides. With an hour and a half gap, you've given yourself plenty of time for rest or quick service meal in between.

In December I left no time between FP if possible. Mk FP was 9:20-10:20, next was 10:20 to 11:20 and the last at 11:20-12:20 and then lunch at BOG. No problem getting to any between times.

I agree with others we did not leave any time in between. And when we had ride that were close to each other, like BTMRR and SM, we would stack the times together and be able to do two FP+ back to back with little or no wait. For instance if BTMRR was 1:00-2:00 and SM was 2:00-3:00, we would hit BTMRR at 1:50 and by the time that we were done we could go straight to SM and FP+ that. We felt it would leave us more time to wander around or enjoy other attractions before and after our FP+'s. Have a great trip...

Another agreement with you don't have to leave a gap. The only time I do is if it's around food time and I know I'm going to need a break to eat. More often than not I have time to wander around before my next one even doing them back to back.

Thank you so much everyone for your input. I'm going to change all my FastPass selections now so that the times are closer together and we can see/do more - I wished that I ask the question first before doing all that work! I've been to Disneyland in California but not Disney World in Orlando and there's a big difference. Many thanks.
