Questions of a First time off-siter

I'm going with the band from the day after Thanksgiving, until that Wednesday, sorry I don't know the exact dates off-hand. I have some questions. I am guessing no fastpass?? How are the crowds that time of year? We will get there two days after Thanksgiving, because we are driving, happy, happy, joy, joy. And without stopping. All the way from PA. And one more, we are going to Downtown Disney the day we get there. We are staying at the Comfort Inn. I hear there's one on site, in, near, around, something like that, Downtown Disney. Could that be it? Or is it right outside Downtown Disney, so it's not considered onsite? Okay, I lied, this is the last one, lol. Does this mean if I want to go to DisneyQuest, I have to pay all that money? It's normally included in our Hopper. I have always stayed onsite, will I die? Haha, TIA!!!!!

You can still get Fastpasses with your park ticket even though you are not staying on site. Fastpasses are available to everyone.

Yes, you will have to pay for a separate admission for Disney Quest if you don't have the plus option on your ticket.

I don't know anything about the Comfort Inn.

As for your crowds question, the parks will be very crowded Thanksgiving weekend but by Monday the 27th crowds will be noticeably lighter.

I hear your pain......when our band used to do the MK and MGM parades, we would drive all night from East Tennessee......and go directly to Ak, do a half day there, then half day at MGM. No shower, no rest except what you got on the bus.
But you'll still have fun. Good luck!

There's a Comfort inn lake buena vista that is on palm parkway which is just outside of downtown Disney. My sisters band makes that drive straight thru also, take a pillow! The only problem that an experienced person like yourself will be that it seems who ever makes the itinery has never been to Disney (at least with her band) and they will get you to parks late and then split your day and take you to say MGM at 3pm after all the FP are gone for the day and the lines are an hour! What day are you marching that takes up a lot of the day. The kids never seem to mind though they have a lot of fun. Remember to keep some money back for buying food on the ride home!

Disney Quest will depend on what kind of passes you buy/bought. Did you get them with the extras option?
