Mousekeeping was excellent. No towel animals but that's fine with us.

Our last stay was February so perhaps the refrigerator situation has changed. Sometimes, a CM will forget the leis. Don't hesitate to ask. Just don't come back and whine here about no leis! Just kidding! :sunny: Have a wonderul vacation!

We'll be back next week and can't wait!!

-When you check in, do they give out leis?

Yes

-how was mousekeeping? towel animals?

We didn't get any.

-frig in room?

No when we were there in mid-April.

-Is there a cofeemaker in the room?

Yes, strangely it is in the bathroom!

-What kind of coffee in the room? Did they have decaf?

I'm not sure but isn't all Disney coffee Nescafe?

-Does the room have a hairdyrer?
-Iron?

Yes and yes.

-How big is the safe?

Deeper than at the other Disney hotels we've stayed in (but not big enough to leave your children in).

When you check in, do they give out leis? - Yes

were you able to get your requests? - Yes

how was mousekeeping? towel animals? - Mousekeeping fine, no towel animals

did you request turndown and how was it? - Tried it 1st night, other nights we found it came while we were in room, so we often turned away

frig in room? - Was there, but just call down if not there

I heave heard (from more than one person) recently that you can "request" robes (even if not in concierge). Has anyone done this? - We were concierge, and never used them

Is there a cofeemaker in the room? - Yes, ont the counter in the bathroom

What kind of coffee in the room? Did they have decaf? - DH tried it, said it was only so-so (sorry, don't drink, and don't know about decaf.)

Does the room have a hairdyrer? - Yes, but we never used. More the wash and go types.

Iron? - Probably, but we're on vacation and I barely iron when home.

How big is the safe? Big enough for our 2 cameras, wallets and jewelry

Activities at the pool for kids? DS7 and DD7 loved loved loved the volcano slide. As soon as they went down, they ran back up. There were also some organized water games (ask at desk for hrs.), but we were out. We were there during Easter/Spring Break and never thought the pool was too crowded, although others have posted during less popular times that it was, so perhaps the CMs were more diligent about stopping pool hoppers.

Other kids activities: Our kids loved building sandcastles and playing on the beach!!! DH and I sat in a beach swing while they played for hours and then watched Wishes and EWP -- Great time!!

The Neverland Club is free for Poly.guests from 12-4 PM and our kids loved the crafts area and video game area. Not a drop-off -- parents must stay/supervise. They do offer babysitting/childcare later for a fee ($10/hr?).

DD7 and I took free hula lessons on Saturday at the GCH and others have posted that they made leis at the GCH (we didn't try that one as the kids just loved the crafts area at the Neverland Club).

We had a magical time there and highly recommend it.
Have a great time!:wizard:

When you check in, do they give out leis?
Yes
were you able to get your requests?
Yes, we requested Tokelau when booking
how was mousekeeping? towel animals?
Mousekeeping lady was very nice and made us an elephant, a dog and a gator
did you request turndown and how was it?
Did not request this
frig in room?
Yes.
I heave heard (from more than one person) recently that you can "request" robes (even if not in concierge). Has anyone done this?
Have not done this. I wish I had known...
Is there a cofeemaker in the room?
Yes, coffee maker on the bathroom sink.
What kind of coffee in the room? Did they have decaf?
I don't recall what brand of coffee it was, but I don't think it was Nescafe. I remember looking at the packet and it looked like standard hotel-room coffee. We would get the Kona Coffee every morning at the cafe anyway. :)
Does the room have a hairdyrer?
Yes, there was an on-the-wall hairdryer.
Iron?
Yes. Iron and board are in the closet.
How big is the safe?
Safe was Probaby about 1 cubic foot.
Activities at the pool for kids?
No kids yet.

any other info would be helpful!!!

We had a great time at the poly and really liked the Tokelau building location. Close to everything. Easy to walk to either monorail location. Close to the laundry facility. Easy access to both pools. We parked near the bus stop area in the parking lot and followed the walk right back to our building. Also, watched Wishes from the beach and from the third-floor staircase landing on the lagoon end of the bldg. Hope you have a great time. I'm sure you will. :earsboy:

Since there are many answers already I will just put in my 2 cents...

lots of kids activities - very good kids resort.

we were concierge and used the robes a lot - can't hurt to ask for them.

we were not given our first or second request but they were very busy - they did however move us the second day to our second request. I noted that the first room had a haridryer right on the wall, the second did not have any hairdryer. I do not know if you could request one as I had my own.

we were concierge and never received any towel animals or anything like that. We were there 5 days, the first 2 days were wonderful mousekeeping, the last 3 were just okay. Definately a switch there.

It is a very small cofee maker in the bathroom - we don't drink coffee so we moved it but I think it was Nescafe.

Have a great trip and ask for the leis if you do not receive them. Also send the kids over to the TV area while you check in. There are crayons/books and cartoons on. There was even a lady making lei's for the kids. Very cute.

I posted this question on another thread, but since you've all been there recently; would a bottle of wine fit inside the room fridge?

It would if you pulled out the main shelf which can be done. At the least the fridge in our concierge room could. Not sure if the standard rooms fridge is the same - I am sure it probably is.

You can always put it in the ice bucket too a few hours prior to drinking it too.

Yes, a bottle of wine will fit in both the smaller frigs in concierge as well as the slightly larger ones that can be requested.

BTW, there are small refirgerators in concierge rooms already in place. Have been for several years anyway. It is in regular rooms that you may have to request one.

The coffee is a brand I've never heard of and does look like a standard hotel type. It definetly is not named Nescafe although I don't know who the manufacturer might be.

Just got back May 2nd, so dont want to repeat everything that has been said, but we checked in very late, after 10 pm, on our reservation I requested Samoa, ground floor, volcano pool view. We got Samoa, 3rd floor, quiet pool view, so I guess technically you could say our request was only honored for the longhouse only, that was it., I know the resort was pretty full so I didnt inquire as to switching rooms later in the stay, another time we were offered that. We dont spend that much time in the room.
No towel animals
The safe fit my whole huge purse in it sometimes, amazing!!
I know my ds have done water basketball at the pool before. This time as always they focus on the arcade challenge, its listed in your newspaper when you check in as to what times and days it is. Its free video games for 1 hour.
I dont drink coffee, but dh does. It smelled good enough, I did notice they also have tea if you are interested in that.
