Hiya
I am flying out the end of February, filled out the ESTA froms today, all simple enough.
My question is, when you arrive at MCO customs, what do you present to the officer, is it purely your passport, or do you have to give refernce number/print outs?
Thanks in advance!

The US immigration are not interested in your ESTA so you don't need to take your number or a print out with you for them and you may well have to still complete the green I-94W as well at the moment

We got back on Saturday. When we checked in at Gatwick they asked us about ESTA but said that we would still need to complete the green visa waiver form. Apparently they're running both systems for the next few months.

We arrived in Florida last Tuesday and we weren't asked about ESTA - although they do have a record of it on their systems and will know from your passport details if you have completed it or not.
We were also told on the plane that they intend to run the green form for the next 6 months as part of a transitional period.

When we went to New York a couple of months ago I picked up some extra forms at the airport-thought I was being clever-we could fill them in ready for our Disney trip in Aug.

Hubby pointed out no, it wasn't clever, by the time we went it would be on ESTA.

I may get the last laugh then!:rotfl2:

:sad2: I was so happy that I could get those forms filled in online and out of the way and now it appears I'm still going to have to complete them:headache: . Thanks for the headsup:thumbsup2

What happens if you haven't filled out the ESTA online?

When is too early to do my ESTA? Should I leave it until closer to my trip?

The airline will refuse to allow you to board their aircraft as you do not have authorisation to travel to the USA. At best you can do it at the airport and hope you get accepted straight away.

What happens to people that dont have access to the Internet???

Somebody who does have access can do it for you - but PLEASE do not get taken in by anyone who says they have to charge you for doing it. If you don't have friends or family with internet access go to an internet cafe and do it there.

When is too early to do my ESTA? Should I leave it until closer to my trip?

It's never too early as it lasts for two years and can be used for multiple trips but I would say don't leave it any later than a couple of months before your trip.
