For those of you that have been to WDW in September before, I have a few questions.
1. Are EMH evenings all that bad?
2. How crowded is MK on the only Monday when Spectro is running?
3. How far in advance have you had to stake out a spot for parades and fireworks in the parks?
Thanks so much!

1.) This is the first Sept. with EMH evenings.

2.) If you are at MK at 5pm on a night with Spectro, it is noticably more crowded than 5pm on a night without Spectro. Does it affect wait times? Maybe a little.

3.) This all depends on your tolerance of other people and what you want to see. If you want a front row seat for Spectro, get there early - maybe even 1 hr before Spectro starts. Stars & Motorcars you can essentially walk up to the parade route. Illumination requires a little bit of planning to find your ideal location and is usually a 20-30 min stake out time. Wishes - personally, i prefer Wishes on Main Street among the crowds. So i don't stake out for Wishes.

We visited for the first time mid-May and the crowds was large. We now go the last week in September because schools are back in and there's less people in the parks; however, with the free dinning there maybe more people this year. We have no problems with viewing the parades/fireworks. Just be sure to pick a spot ahead of time, like one hour, it's easy to pick a bench. We go when the gates open and leave after the fireworks. We just take our time and take a lot of breaks. I think we enjoy it more by taking our time, plus we don't have any small children to be able to do this.

I was there last September right after one of the big hurricanes. Our first day at MK was a Monday and it was PACKED!! We weren't sure if it was the usual "don't go on a Monday to MK" crowds, or if it was because a lot of the schools in Florida were closed due to the hurricane. We only stayed a few hours and left. I'm not sure if Spectro was playing that day, but we stayed out of the park until later that day and the crowds were much more manageable.
