Nope, they only warn you to put your poncho on before you board the ride.

Is there a kiosk or vending machine for ponchos, or do you have to go into a store to get one? (Or bring your own from outside DL.)

You will have to either bring your own (much cheaper) or go to a store. I don't know if they have them sitting out or if you have to ask for them. Last time I bought one at Disneyland you had to ask for them.

I got mine at the pooh corner store last time, but I had to ask for it and the CM got it from behind the counter.

OP, you've probably seen this news, but just in case you haven't, Tiana's will no longer be using the VQ starting Dec. 10. So looks like you don't need to worry about any VQs

Great news! I was dreading that. Maybe we can get a LL if the line is too long.

We wore ponchos for Tiana’s but no shoe covers, sat in the back, and didn’t get that wet. My phone inside my bag under the poncho was fine, and our shoes didn’t get wet. Also, if you find the LLMP return times to be far out, just refresh on repeat. We didn’t buy LLMP during Thanksgiving week until the afternoon most of the time, when times were booked quite far out, but we were still able to ride what we wanted through modifying. I had Tiana’s booked for 7pm or so and we were able to ride it around 1pm which was pretty much immediate.
