Questions for July 1st

A full set of encyclopedias.

Mind you, this was the 1970s when there was no internet and the only place you usually could have access to encyclopedias was at a library. So the idea that you could have a set you could use any time you wanted seem pretty awesome.

This was way back in the 70's. I was first grade and loved all kinds of rocks. My friend Jenny had several sizes of geodes around her living room. I could have stood there and stared at them all day. Also, they served real mac and cheese. I couldn't figure out why the noodles were so huge and not orange. Yes, my Mom loved Kraft mac n cheese :):)

Not exactly impressed but fascinated by my friend's roped off (with a velvet cord) living room with the clear plastic covers on everything!! Everything in our house was lived in and showed what five kids could do to furniture!!

A friends dad like high tech (for the time) stuff. He bought one of the first Pong games and one of those Sony TV-Betamax VCRs in the mid 1970's.

My friend Maryann's family had a VCR, the first one I'd ever seen. I was so impressed it's comical to think about it now.
