Got to go with mickeyfan1. I make it to London a couple of times a year, and to other places in Europe or South America about the same number. DW has gone to London with me once, but there is only so much you can do when alone. It gets boring during the day I would think, plus, after seeing peiople during the day, and visiting with them for drinks or dinner, there is not much time left to vacation. If she wants to go, she surely welcome, but, again, not much fun when one half is working during the trip.
I do have her come with me to some conferences, or dinners, where we invite wives, etc., but, thats a different circumstance, as she is on the trip for a purpose. Sometimes that doesn't even work out. Last year, I attended a conference at Disney, and, as I do at this particular event, hosted a dinner for a number of guests. The dinner is after a cocktail party on the first day of the event. So, we are still at MK at 4 or so, watching the parade, and I am getting a bit po'd, because we have to get to hotel, freshen up, change, get out to hotel row by dtd for the cocktail party, back to akl for dinner, etc. She didn't feel the same urgency, nor did my mother, who we had brought down to babysit for the night. Sometimes priorities of vacation clash with priorities of work. I don't think I will ever schedule a vacation to run simultaniously with work. Maybe before, or after, but not at the same time.
