Questions ? Can you WDW experts help me?

I am very new to the whole disney thing as well. I know that a DVC member can not make a reservation until 11 months out but a few questions...

1. How do you find out if they are sold out for the dates that you want?

2. Is it likely that we will be able to get either a 2 or 3 bedroom villa at Boardwalk December 20-25 of 2007?

3. How do I go about finding someone now that will be willing to do that but we wait until the 11 month mark?

4. If I reserve it under my name with Disney travel can we transferr it to use the DVC points at the 11 month mark to be able to reserve it and make sure we are able to get it on the days that we will be going?

If there is anyone here that knows they will be able to rent either 236 or 480 points for December of 07 I would love to talk to you.

I am sorry for all the questions but I have never been to WDW before and I am VERY new to all of this.

The answers will vary depending on if you are a member or not. Since it appears you are not a member and are interested in renting ...

1)- only members have the ability to check on availability for DVC properties based on a point reservation.

2)- if you can make advance arrangements with a member 11 months in advance, the chances are good.

3)- post your request on the DVC Rent/Trade Board. It may help to offer at least the going rate, since you are seeking a prime time for DVC members, at a popular resort and villa type.

4)- NO. Cash reservations made thru CRO cannot be transferred into DVC point reservations.
