Hi! We are planning on going to Disney March 23-26th and I had a few questions. Our hotel reservations are at Grand Legacy, which we have never stayed at before. Any recent reviews of the Premier room and restaurants in front of the hotel? I also made Fantasmic lunch reservations at Blue Bayou and River Belle Terrace. Any recent reviews of either of these? Does anyone remember the kids menu? Last question - is the Murphy working/ fire included in Fantasmic? If not I am going to wait to do Fantasmic in the fall. TIA!!!

I wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Skyegirl1999 for sending the maps and Food & Wine menus with buttons and to carouselDL for sending pictures of the RBT menu and answering all my questions. You two are amazing and I can't tell you thank you enough for spreading Disney magic

See below for a recent photo of the BB F! Lunch menu (kids menu is at the bottom). Don't know if you'll get any info on Murphy white it's raining. F! usually gets cancelled if it rains hard enough. So you might have to wait a few days for more updates.

Here is the Blue Bayou Fantasmic lunch menu from yesterday.View attachment 477996

I have stayed at Grand Legacy probably 10 times now and have only eaten at the Jimboys. Its decent, better than Taco Bell. I am a bit of a food snob, so take it for what its worth. We have a fantastic Mexican restaurant just down the street from us in a gas station of all places that is very authentic, so we judge everything against that. I hear good things about Pizzaterian, but never tried it. Tony Roma's is right next door, consistently good, nothing great.

I think we may have had one of the premier rooms twice, I don't remember it being all that more special than a normal room. We have done the two-room suites a few times and that does feel a bit more roomy but our kids are adults now and won't share a sleeper sofa. We have to do two rooms whenever we travel with the kids now, or splurge on a bigger suite. This is a no frills place, clean, comfortable beds, and pretty close to the gates though. Solid choice for price point.

@midnight star has feelings about riverbelle terrace....
I don't know too many posters here who have very positive feelings about RBT these days...
Yeah I went last year and do not want to go back again. Service was nice. But the food was gross. You could tell the food had sat under a lamp. We had to drink water because our throats were dry from eating the meat

Thank you all for the replies!

Thank you! I totally forgot about rain and F! getting cancelled. I will have to check the weather for when we are there the closer our date gets. I really want to see the fire and essentially the "whole show" with everything since I might not do it again until the fall.

Thank you! We are kinda food snobs too when it comes to Mexican ( I am Mexican :) ) and have a picky eater who only likes pizza and pasta. We recently stayed at the Tropicana and that's where my expectations are right about now. It wasn't amazing but it was good for the price, and clean. Sounds like Grand Legacy is about the same.

EEEKK o_O Although we had a not so great experience at BB too. My husband didn't say anything though because they had gone out of their way to make me a special cake and he didn't want to upset anyone.

Shoot.....so which one would you guys suggest for Fantasmic dining? I am hoping that I can order plain pasta for my youngest at either BB or RBT since she won't touch most of what is on the Fantasmic menu for children.
I was disappointed in our $350 plus meal last year that didn't even include Fantasmic when my husband and son said that their meat was over cooked. I really wish they had said something right then and there, but they didn't want to cause a fuss.

Honestly I would pick Blue Bayou. If someone gave me the choice between RBT or BB I would do BB in a heartbeat. Yes it is overpriced, but I have not had a bad experience there. Food was good. Not as good as Carthay or Cafe Orleans, but I didn’t leave unsatisfied. With the pricing I almost think the package is a better deal since you pay a flat rate but get 3 courses.

That's what I am leaning towards too. Let's see if I can convince the son and DH, lol.

Don’t even get me started on BB! Most overpriced and underwhelming meal we’ve ever had at Disneyland or WDW!

LOL! So maybe a Fantasmic Fastpass is the way to go 😆
LOL see now I had a bad experience with fantasmic fastpass! If the show is full, they will cram everyone in a tight space. And you have to stand for over an hour before the show. Reserved dining packages you don’t have to do that and you can sit.

it’s really up to you lol. Have you looked into hungry bear? I’ve heard decent reviews about it. And it’s affordable. Sure it’s not as “fancy” as BB, but if you want to minimize your wait for the show, a package is the way to go.

I actually LOLed right now. I had a horrible experience at Hungry Bear last year. Maybe I will stick to the Food and Wine festival instead and do World of Color 🤣

Hmmm... just throwing in my two cents here: we've had good to very good experiences at BB (yes, the food is overpriced, but the service was good) and HB (food was good and great view = great value). So so to meh experiences at RBT.
F&W is lots of fun, and we love WOC!

If you do decide to postpone F! until fall, remember that it doesn't show every night during non-peak season. So double check the schedule for your dates to make sure that there will be F! when you visit!

Same-we did BB Fantasmic early February and it was much better than in the past. We go mostly for the atmosphere, the food has never been bad, consistently good, this time it was great.

This was amazing:
