Hi - I'm still new to DVC and looking for answers. Here are my questions:

We'll have a 1 BDRM at OKW and there's three of us. But a friend of mine would like to come and stay with us with her daughter. Obviously, someone has to sleep on the floor and it's also over the limit of four.

Can I have more than 4 in the room? Does Disney frown or prohibit this? And since they will be driving, what do they do when they get to the gatekeeper? Do they call us to okay it - or do we leave a message at the front desk? It'll be about midnight when they arrive and we will be there already. And do they get a car pass too?

Thanks for your help!!!

Cheers,
Bwalker ;)

The policy is the room holds four plus a child under 3. There has been much hot debate on these boards on whether this is enforced and/or should be enforced. In any case, they will not provide additional bedding.

Your friend won't be able to get a car pass unless you officially register her. If she is a registered guest, she'll get a car pass. I would let the front desk know that you are expecting someone to visit after midnight. My guess is that the guard will probably ring your room anyway to confirm you are expecting someone who is arriving so late. You'll also need to let her know where you are and how to reach the room.

Thanks so much for your reply. I've been wondering how or if it got enforced. Another question - what if other people just wnated to visit you? We know some people in the area that could come just to visit for a few hours. What hapens then?

Cheers,
Bwalker ;)

Last May when we were at OKW DH sister and brother-in-law were in Jacksonville visiting their daughter and we invited them day for a day/night (we were in a 1 bedroom, just the two of us) I went to the front desk and explained we had guests arriving and asked for a parking pass for their car, which I received with no problem. When Tim arrived he informed the guard he was visiting us (he had our room number) and the guard waved him through. Of course, they arrived early morning..a little different than midnight!

I don't think you'll have any problems having guests in your room. Just let the front desk know.
