Questions about using our old no-expire tickets...

Hey, guys! Been away from the board for a while and it looks like it has changed format/structure significantly, so if this is the wrong place to post/ask this I will be very glad for a Mod to move it appropriately.

We are heading down next week for a few days, short trip, and staying off-property so no WDW package (like we usually do).

We have have some old tickets for everyone in the family, 10-day tickets with the no-expire option and the water park & more option (no park-hopping). Most of the the park days are left unused (seven, I believe) and we've never used any of the WP days. We would like to use 2 of the park days next week and maybe one or two of the WP days as well. These are the blue plastic "credit-card-ish" tickets with a mag strip and our names on them, not paper tickets and not Magic Bands.

Thus, my questions:

1) When we bought/first used these tickets all three of my children were <10yo. The girls still are, but my son is now 11yo. What will I need to do (if anything) to "update" his ticket to reflect his new age/status for WDW purposes.

2) Is there any way to link these tickets to MDE for FastPass purposes? Any reason(s) not to do this, if it is possible?

3) Can these tickets be linked/transferred to Magic Bands, either old/expended ones or new ones? Any reason(s) to do this or not to do this?

Sorry for all of the questions, especially since they seem so "newb-ish." We go to WDW at least once a year, but our last trip (this time last year) was our very first time using the Bands and the No-Expire tix in question are the first/only NE tickets I've ever had. (And I understand they are doing away with that option, which may have even more implications for my questions above. IDK. :o)

Thanks for your patience, and for any info y'all can provide!

2b)Any reason(s) not to do this, if it is possible?

3b) Any reason(s) to do this or not to do this?

1) Take the ticket and the (former ) child to Guest Relations for a free upgrade.
2a) Yes. You can try putting the NUMBER on each ticket into your MyDisneyExperience Account.
If you have trouble, call the WDW I.T. department for assistance.
2b) No reason not to do this.
3a) You will link the tickets to your MyDisneyExperience Account
then, they will automatically be accessible by any MagicBand issued to you.
3b) No reason not to do this.

Thank yo SO much! This is very good news and helps a lot, and I will attempt the linkages tonight when I get home. :)

Okay, now I feel stupid and am a little embarrassed to post this. :o

I dug out the old No-Expire tickets and found the place on the MDE site where you can enter the numbers from old cards and bands to link them to your account... and then it hit me that I don't know which one of us used which of the cards! We've only used them on one prior trip and (NEWB MISTAKE!!!) we never wrote names on them or wrote down which card was used by whom. Between the two adult cards, I am 99% certain that I used the one with Mickey on the front and that my wife was goofy... er, I mean that she used the one with Goofy on front. But none of us can recall which child card (Donald, Goofy, or Pluto) went with which child. I even scrambled madly through pics from that trip to see if we happened to snap a shot of one or more of us visibly holding our card(s). No luck there. I guess we will just have to go to guest relations on-site when we get there next week.

So, all of this leads me to a new question separate from the originals:

- Where (if anywhere) can I go the night we get there (no plans to go into a park that night) to take care of all this first thing so it doesn't eat into our "park time" the next day?

I assume we will have to go somewhere with a fingerprint scanner to get a definitive answer and match the cards properly, upgrade Junior's age, and go on from there. Do any Guest Relations centers outside of the parks even have that capability???

(Please don't make fun of me, I already feel bad/dumb enough about not writing it down. For some reason, I thought the individual names were on the cards or at least on the original order/receipt.)

1. Don't worry about it.
2. No need to do so.
3. Nope.
4. Take the (former) child to any ticket booth or Guest Relations (outside any park, any water park, at TTC or two locations at DTD) and get a free upgrade.

Just assign any of the adult tickets to an adult in your party.
Assign any child ticket to a (current or former underage) child in your group.

Have fun!
