So, we are considering renting an ECV for my Dad. A couple of questions I can't seem to find an answer for, if he wants to park it and walk a bit in each "land" say in MK, or just park outside a ride and stand in line, is there a way to lock them? Can they get stolen? I know in the past we have taken strollers and never had a problem with them getting stolen.

Take the key. Anyone with a key will (should) already have an ECV to go with it. On the other hand, there's a "freewheeling" switch/knob which a CM may engage, to move the ECV out of the way.

Make sure that when you park it, you take anything of value out of the basket :thumbsup2

I've had a few times that I forgot to take the key with me after getting off of a scooter. So, I bought a retractable key chain type of thing that I can clip to my top or my fanny pack. I found it at a casino, they can be used to ensure you don't leave your player's card in a slot machine when you leave it. This way if I forget the key I end up feeling it tugging at me and reminding me to pull the key out.

VERY good idea! Thank you for sharing!
