Questions about traveling with Baby

We will be traveling with our eight month old son in mid October and staying for seven nights at WL. This will be our first trip to Disney with a small child and are wondering about what supplies to bring and what to buy while we are there. Our main concern is about packing baby food and possible breakage in the luggage and the added weight.

Any advice about brining our own food, diapers, etc. or buying it on a grocery stop on the way? We are renting a car.
Thanks in advance.

you'll get alot more info from there.

Pack enough for the plane and a little extra. Definitely do the grocery stop. You should now be able to request a fridge in your room for free.

The WL is wonderful!!! Just bring all the things you use for the baby at home.
They have pack and plays at the hotel-bring your own sheets,etc...maybe some warm pj's if you like to sleep with the AC cold.
A lightweight stroller is best and maybe a baby carrier so that you don't have to hold him in the lines.

Pack a small diaper bag for the parks-take a mid-day break-go back to your resort for a swim and some down time. Then repack the bag for the evening.

Check with your doctor about sunscreen. Bring a little hat. Plenty of water (bottled). Take a wet washcloth from the hotel in a ziploc for wiping baby down and maybe a small bottle of conrnstarch. Maybe some plastic spoons that you can just throw away.

Don't forget things like: a small bottle of diswashing liquid and a bottle brush. Some mild detergent to wash baby clothes in the sink.

Ziplocs are great for all kinds of things- putting away a dirty diaper if there is no garbage around.

How about some of those disposable bibs?
A bottle bag/cooler
Huggies Little swimmers for the pool. Bring a small CD player with familiar CD's for the room

Dewy-

We were at WDW last May with our DS who was almost 10 mos. old.

I brought everything he needed from home, including jarred baby food. Not a problem and left more room in luggage for souvies on the way home! :teeth:

I cannot stress enough the midday nap/break! We expected the baby to simply sleep in the stroller for his naps like he did when we were there when he was 6 mos. NOPE! We had a couple really bad days trying to do parks all day, expecting DS to sleep with WDW going on around him.

I definately second bringing lots of the disposable bibs and diaper disposal bags. Also bring some of those palmolive dishwipes to clean the bottles and other things.

Have fun!
