I am new to this Universal thing but will be going the weekend after Thanksgiving - not staying on site.

My question is the express add-on option. I understand that they sell only a certain number of these per day. I am guessing it is wise to order well in advance especially for this busy weekend? I understand that this is in addition to the regular admission. Do I have to buy both the admission and the express add-on at the same place (i.e., Universal)? Or can I purchase them separately (AAA for the tickets and Universal for the add-on)?

Regarding Citywalk, is there a fee to even enter the area? So if we want to wander over there and eat at a restaurant, do we have to pay a "cover" to get there?

Thanks! I'm so confused :confused3

I've never heard of them selling out express passes. I suggest you wait until you get to the parks and check out the lines before you purchase. They are a separate purchase and are not part of your park tickets. Remember that the new ride, Forbidden Journey, does not accept the express passes.

There is only a charge at Citywalk if you are visiting the clubs at night.

Thanks for the advice! I guess I'm afraid that the crowds will be insane that weekend since it is usually crazy at WDW this time of year. It's good to know that they don't sell out, usually.

The crowds that weekend WILL be insane so be prepared. If you get there early, you should be able to do several attractions w/o the huge crowds but by 11am...it's a mad house.

I've seen them sell out of express several times. The times I remember are July 4, New Year Eve, and Spring Break. It's possible they could sell out but it is unlikely as long as you purchase in the morning. Most of the times they have sold out are around noon.
